  1. Yep Magnet temp is all fine. Went into Audi a few weeks ago for a check up. Only thing they mentioned was the ''clutch master cylinder with the pedal sender and the parking break control unit'' Everything else was fine. attached video if you guys want to have a look. Thanks 6360305.mp4
  2. Thanks guys. Got the new clutch and flywheel put in. Got LUK parts as heard they were good quality. Magnet cheers mate will get that looked into. Do you think the new clutch will help the MPG? Still only getting around 23mpg. will probably be worse now winter has kicked in :(
  3. Hi guys I have an Audi A4 1.8 TFSI. Just been told the Clutch and Flywheel needing replaced. :( Quoted £850 all in. £500 for the Flywheel. £150 for Clutch and £200 Labour. Is this about right?
  4. thanks big dave. How much is a carbon clean approx?
  5. Just to answer two guys above Envy and Bradley. Firstly thanks for your replies. Bradley - I just use normal unleaded petrol from either Shell or Tesco etc. all tyres seem fine. I havent really figured out how to switch to mpg on the screen I have tried but i dont think my models allows it. Envy - This car is a petrol. My old passat was 2003. On the Audi it has only done around 89k and car has been kept very well in great condition.
  6. Hi Trevor Yes it was Mot'd before i bought and no advisories passed with flying colours. All services with Audi. How would I go about checking if there is something wrong with car for fuel consumption? Car drives smooth as silk doesn't seem like anything is wrong with it.
  7. Hi guys Just recently bought a 2008 A4 TFSI. Previously had a Passat 1.9 TDI (03 plate). I know Petrol cars generally give you less mileage than Diesels but didn't expect it to be this juicy. I usually put in £40 from empty and got around 250 city miles in the passat but the Audi is giving me around 180. So 70 miles less in a car which is 5 years newer. Does this seem about right?
  8. The owner is American and going back home as his visa runs out so needs to sell quick. Some deepish scratch's on the roof and boot. Might give it a 3 stage polish or buff that is what i was thinking. Will get some prices and see from there. Thanks again Steve, you have been very helpful :)
  9. Thanks Steve for your reply much appreciated :) Yes this is a private seller. I have had all the checks done etc it has full service history and hp check was fine. Also just checked that link put in car details and its all good. Lets assume everything is cushtie thats a pretty good deal right? Even with the scratch's and chips which have been covered? I checked on autotrader also and found that similar mileage was more but thought its best to ask on here also. Another thing what would be the best way to get rid of the scratch's and chips without costing me a fortune? Thanks Abby
  10. Hey guys Just signed up and not sure if this type of post is allowed. If not just remove. Looking for a bit of advice. What do you guys think of this deal. Audi A4 1.8L Petrol TFSI. 2008. 88k miles and is a saloon. Not an s line just basic cloth inside. Has quite a few scratches and some chips which have been covered cowboy style with some paint by looks of it. Apart from this in really good condition. Getting offered 4k for it. Drives Beautiful engine sounds immaculate. Just had MOT done and passed with flying colours and no advisories. Full service history also. Thanks Abby
