Selection 2. Comfort control unit (Adress 46) 3. Enter the login code 4. Adaption (10) 5. Channel 181 6. New value 0 – test- save
  2. ill send a pm as im not sure of this sites policy of adding a link to another site forum where i posted lot more info on this along with where i purchased wiring looms
  3. dynamic indicators fitted today VID-20201017-WA0031.mp4
  4. Great all rounder for a growing family , really practical and versatile. Id get another after this but biturbo facelift to a decent spec within my budget maybey even an S7 by then. look after it and it will look after you. its a great cruiser on motorways etc but not as nimble and quick off a roundabout as say a stage1 mk7 gtd around the town , depends what your needs are. Will understeer when hard pushed tight in damp or wet conditions as most "real" fulltime quattro 4wd systems where engine is forward of the driveshafts and that weight outfront but the traction control will save you . i love the way the golf platform you can code xds to tighten up the tight cornering with inside wheel braking but not managed to code the a7 if it is indeed possible on this abs firmware? probably not!
  5. i must have registered here years ago with the old q7 but here ive not posted in years so newbie i guess Robbie from Glasgow had the A7 a year and had a little play about with some things. But dont get to use it much as i use works van and wife has a car so basically a bit of a weekend car to be honest which keeps the mileage down i suppose. 2011 A7 sline 3.0 tdi 245 with 7 speed stronic full service and stronic oil done swiftly after purchase mmi and maps updated to latest available swiftly after purchase. Then got a ami chromecast set up to mirror my phone on screen but never use it to be honest. angel tuning stage1 remap theoretically 300 bhp 600nm but never had it dynoed. muffler delete and 4" tips. throttle valve butterfly remove / egr system clean and egr coded for less operation little black edition touches to trim badging and dechrome ebc red stuff ceramic compound pads with slotted discs all round obdeleven functions turned on where possible. rear light "arselift" to led dynamic and mirror dynamic indicators on their way . Things to do .. wheels and tyres combo sorted / refurbed or replaced with something different 20" maybey with a slam lower car on h&r springs or even coilovers depends on wheel solution / spacers first ive thought of roof black / mirrors black headlights slight smoke in different combo setups but dont want to cross the "overdunnit" line if indeed i have not done already. dsg tune as its a bit lazy or confused ( i just like the 8 speed zf ) probably not a fair comparison. fan spray washer jets. maybey a bit of a bass upgrade or modification for the bose but its actually not that bad when rear seats folded forward and boot carpet removed ( dont ask) so think its really the position of it strangled in the wheel tub, anyway some recent pictures
  6. just may be useful info for the next guy These cars are affordable now for the likes of me but retrofits and parts costs can outweigh the bother of some tasty upgrades. Ok its been done before, OE only for me , not a fan of china plug and play lights as their plastic quality isn't great and can cloud or yellow over time. But i did it my way at half the cost of a full kit Probably quarter the cost of a retrofit company with associated labour and travel / accomodation i would require plus cost of a newer module on top. I got told from various suppliers of the kits and retrofit companies that harness adapter looms required a new ccm module fitted (pre software version 510 or similar) and coded and keys coded etc etc, car left for 1 or 2 days at thier premises or other mad excuses yet if i wanted to buy the full kit with brand new OE lights they were available to buy from them online?? sounded a bit of a hoodwink to me. i nearly gave up Bit of research and found a German company that made me the harnesses with modules and supplied different oe plugs to fit to car with full instructions. So these were a really decent price compared to what was meant to be available once upon a time from some companies in the uk but no stock due to "the covid" or some other reason . so great condition ebay OE led dynamic tail lights full set from the same donor car won on a best offer and fitted with said harness modules my ccm is software 0330 so really early and this was not an issue. everything working fine dynamic - indicators / hazard lights / lock and unlock confirmation just waiting on my chinese ( yes im a hypocrite lol ) sweeping mirror indicators to come to compliment the rear lights just in time for the dark mornings and evenings, leaves the static headlight indicators as standard but may look into a headlight rebuild type thing as a facelift ( i wish) is way too expensive compared to value of car. ill try add some pics dynamic.mp4
  7. get all codes read and look for common denominator between the modules like an earth fault or similar, im guessing its a canbus fault ( communication error similar in each module thats throwing a code) thats intefering with the bus line and intermittent when asking for a cold crank/ high current. id be looking at gbox/engine/chassis earthing as audi have been in and about that area then looking at gbox plug for the engine egr cooler leak down loom into the plug at gbox.
  8. kinda in the middle of some changes im running oe 21"rotors with 275/35/21 on standard sline suspention never had any rubbing, tyres have been great soaking up some rough roads and some pot holes but it sits a bit high and just not happy with the look. looks a bit tractor like and i plan to get wheels refurbed to an original diamond cut with titanium colour and get original tyre size its oe rotors but not diamond cut and have plastidipped them nearly a year ago just to protect the slight kerbing from turning into corrosion and making wheels worse, hopefully they will take a diamond cut. tyres at this size just are not wearing down so no mad rush to just change them for the sake of it and will probably get it done next year in time for summer il try post a few pictures
  9. Its not a keyless entry It is the 3 button kinda standard but think q7 has a different frequency than most?
  10. To cut a long story short. Wife put my only key in washing machine. After drying it works but has a fault where its trying to open doors when in range . It caught me out on holiday where i went out of chalet in the morning and all windows were down and flattened battery . No jump leads for 50 miles etc and key had locked in ignition Anyhow..got sorted at an expense so i now keep a small tin to shield the rf signal when locked up So ill keep this key as a spare ( in a tin) and get a new key Local car key centres dont want to know. Aa key assist want 400 quid.with 2 week wait as they need to order from audi then come and programme it As i can actually still drive my car the Cheapest and best option is audi glasgow Order a key for £197 Get it programmed £63 So off to find my id and v5 to go order a key
  11. ta good tip to look out for
