Apart from the obvious to look for, what are the common problems related to the 1.9 Diesel engine. Does anyone know if it has a DPF or not? Thanks in advance. ianaudia4 Posted July 29, 2014 Share Posted July 29, 2014 Nice cars, I have had 6 A3's, all bar one have been diesels. Same with any car, look for a service history and listen for whistles from the turbo and any obvious accident damage. Check when the timing belt was changed as this isn't cheap but very important.
