  8. I have a b7 2.0 tdi s line and I'm wanting to do some preventative maintenance. I've seen a lot about the cam followers giving out on 2.0 turbos but I can't find if this is just the tfsi or the tdi also. I ahd the same thing with the diverter valve, ordering a new one just to find that was only the petrol version 😅
  9. I have been told that a company called Milta https://milta.co is decent at repairs. I will try them out and let u know.

  14. That's a good question and one I didn't get a clear answer to. I assumed it might have been a lease, but nothing was confirmed. I do like a grey car yes (matches my personality!) But a grey Audi isn't the rarest car in the land, so I can skip this one and wait for another, they crop up regularly!
  15. Thanks, What bothers me more, is why is a two year old car is being sold out of a car supermarket? Could be worrying. PCPs normally run to 3 years, main dealers usually hang onto and retail, good incoming vehicles still under warranty - unless they have proved to have issues that they no long wish to deal with. Car supermarkets source their vehicles from auction - which might have been this vehicle’s origins, stock which dealers don’t want to the responsibility of retailing, etc. The above query, together with ‘incorrect colour’ side skirts, would definitely be a ‘don’t get involved with that’ vehicle, for me. Is it the colour that attracts you to this car? Kind regards, Gareth.
  16. Hi 2016 A6 allroad 3ltr just swapped engine after bottom end failure and now car won't start refitted my original injectors but used high pressure pump that came with 2nd hand engine does this need coding thanks
  17. Hello! I bought an A8 D2 a year ago, from first owner, with only 80k miles . I made around 20k miles with it, and it runs without any problems. Since the car has an automatic transmission, I'd love to hear your opinion. I don't think it's ever been serviced, I'm wondering if it should be serviced, or is it better if I don't touch anything. I wouldn't like my car to stop, so I'm interested in your advice and experiences. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied, it drives great, it's a special feeling when I sit in that car, I'm in touch with new cars, much more expensive and more luxurious than this old A8, but I get bored of each one after a few miles, which is not the case with the D2. The previous owner took good care of it, and I had no problems with it. by the way, I think this is one of the last D2 models, bought and first registered in 12/2003. Even though it is old, it is a very special and valuable car for me, and that is why I would like to keep it preserved and correct as the owner before me did. I am also interested in other diseases of this model. I hope I will find out what I am interested in here. thank you! Later i will post some photos.

  19. Hello. I am new member from Croatia. I drive A7 50TDI Quattro and A8 D2 3.7 Quattro. I need few advices for my D2, i hope so i find it here. greetings from Croatia!
  20. It's a car supermarket jobby. 2 years old and I thought the skirt just looked lighter in the pic but when I saw the car it is definitely silver and not Daytona Grey. It isn't a major issue, I was just curious if someone had sprayed it or something. Two cars below, the silver trim is first and 'normal' trim beneath that (same car supermarket)
  21. 2012 a6 diesel avant. “Stop engine check oil level light” keeps coming on. Oil level is ok and new oil pressure switch fitted. Any ideas?
  22. If you read through the above thread, (see my long my post on 24th March) it covers that, same fix as all the other holes in the wind deflectors seal trough. it worked, I also left the roof covered to stop any rain getting in (small tarpaulin tied to roof rails and under wiper arms) for 24hrs to allow the mastic to dry thoroughly too. there are numerous threads both here & on U-tube covering the subject. good luck
  23. Hi , 2017 a6 with the same leak on both sides of the car , running down A frame and into foot well . The water as I'm sure is the same for most gets in where the water flow / level becomes to much for the drain and builds up ( doesn't take much ) it overflows to the inside of the wind defector and the leak gets in where there is a steel spring finger . Water gets in where it locates towards the front .... BUT regardless of that , iv found at the rear of the spring finger , under hole is a 10mm × 10mm square hole in the frame on both sides which flows directly in onto the headliner. Joke of a design. I'm working on a fix at the minute 🤞
  24. Hiya. I cant say that I have got to the bottom of the problem. Jasons post regarding this helps but its not the ultimate cure. I have had my gearbox ECU reset at dealers and that didnt help either. I suspect the only cure is a new mechatronic but hate to think of the cost. Sorry I cant be more help.
