Tsar
Pick up my new RS5 Saturday. insurer wants a tracker and suggested visible deterrent. Can anyone recommend a steering wheel lock that will fit the RS5? Edited January 25, 2018 by Tsar
Steve Q
Welcome to the forum Glenn, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) A disk lock will fit the steering wheel and aren't too expensive. I'd also recommend a Faraday pouch to help prevent a potential thief getting hold of the car key signal (I'm assuming your Audi is keyless). Very cheap on eBay. I've also hidden your other thread as it's a duplicate. Cheers :) Steve
Joe Cott
hey Glenn, welcome to the clan that RS5 sounds like a hell of a motor. I saw a car the other day with what looked like a motorcycle security chain through the wheels front to back with a blood big padlock. A bit over the top & a bit messy to put on/off but I suppose when you have an expensive sporty car that's an option. happy motoring
Envy
Thatcham approval counts for a lot in the security industry - not a cheap option but neither is your motor... https://www.carnoisseur.com/products/details/disklok-steering-wheel-lock?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2d-17dP12AIVbbXtCh1KsAEwEAkYASABEgJmE_D_BwE
Tsar
Thanks everyone. I’ll have a look at the disklock. I’ve been a VW Scirocco driver for several years, on my second R but I saw the RS and fell in love. It’s a beast of a car and beautiful to drive. Always wanted an Audi and glad to be in the club!
