Hi guys,

I recently bought an Audi A3 2.0 FSI. When I bought it the owner explained to me that it won’t go into to gear over 3k revs but will if you pump it up (I tried this it worked so I was satisfied thinking all it needed was a slave cylinder)

2 days later I was driving it and it just totally stopped going into gear. First of all I was like ok the slave has totally gone I was hoping to get to pay day before it totally died but ok I suppose I’ll fix it now. So now I’ve changed both the slave and the other one and It still won’t go into gear. Any help or suggestions would be great.

Thanks in advance Ruairidh

Your'e looking at gearbox out time I'm afraid.

It could be many thinkgs but the next most obvious is going to be clutch pressure plate/thrust bearing, after that its going to be bent or broken selector forks in the gearbox .
