A5 Sportback buying advice needed!

Hello and good evening to everyone.

New member here with a first post looking for some buying advice - very much in the first world problem realm...

I'm looking at picking up a 2013 a5 sportback 3 litre diesel quattro, and have narrowed it down to a few as follows:

1. independent dealer, more basic radio etc. (2g ami in front of the gear stick on vertical console rather than the handier horizontal console controls);

2. audi dealer,  same spec, +£1k or so

3. independent dealer, what looks like 3g mmi setup but +20k miles. (+£1300 on #1)

4. audi dealer, higher spec - 3g mmi etc, but more basic alloys (rather than the black edition rotors), same mileage as 1 & 2, +£1800 on #1.

Which one would you go for?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum Sam, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

Sorry your post wasn't responded too. I had clearly missed it, so apologies for that.

I think you've made a wise choice. The last few cars have come from main dealers and haven't had issues whereas the same can't be said from buying from independent garages. Usually the main dealers keep the best used cars.

Cheers

Steve

thanks Steve - that's ultimately what swung it for me.  Too much money to be spending on something that doesn't have a meaty warranty behind it!

Couldn't agree more!! I'll look forward to seeing pics of your a5 :)

When do you collect it?

Cheers Steve

yup!  had a 1997 audi a4 for about two years but it was not a car that had been looked after at all.  Since then it's been bmw's and most recently a mk6 GTI.  Tough act to follow in terms of driving dynamism but between quattro, s-tronic and 500nm of torque...this is comfortably (in both ways) going to be a quicker motor.
