Engine Light on after heavy acceleration

Hi everyone,

I have a 2011 Audi A5 with 108.000kms on it.

This happened a couple of times. On the highway accelerating fast from around 2.000rpm to 3.500 rpm the engine light turned on.

Both times I took the car to audi and they said EGR valve and changed it. The first time I paid for it, the second time (around 3months later) they did not charge anything.

A third time it happened. Took it to Audi and they said the same. EGR valve. And I returned that it should be something else because the EGR valve does not damage everytime one accelerates to 3500. They said the did a diagnostic and nothing else came up.

A fourth time happened and I took it to a mechanic. He said this was a problem with a sensor and not the valve itself. So he turned the sensor off.

After that, the car, which already was consuming oil above normal (around 1liter per 2k kms) started consuming around 1 liter of oil per 800kms.

This problem got more severe and at some point it was doing around 1 liter per 200kms.

Took it to another mechanic and, tired of it all, changed a lot of stuff. New turbo vent, new segments, got cilinders repaired, new set of valves, a lot of stuff.

While the car seems to not be consuming those amounts of oil anymore, today I've put put my foot down on the gas pedal to around 3000/3500 rpm... and engine light came on again.

Note that although the light comes on I do not feel any loss of power, bumping acceleration, nothing. The car seems normal to me but last time it also seemed normal and after the mechanic shut the sensor off, the car started doing heavy oil consumptions.

Did anyone ever have this issue?

Any ideas of what it might be?

Thank you for any thoughts and tips.
