Blue smoke after turning left.. straight up!

I get a puff of blue smoke after turning left. Here's what happens. I'm well on my way to work, mostly at 70mph. I turn off the A road to go through a housing estate which has a long downhill stretch so mostly on over-run. I slow right down for a slow left 90 degree corner and on steady acceleration, not booting it, I get a quite sizeable puff of blue smoke. It's exactly the same most mornings on this corner and I've noticed it elsewhere, mostly after a slow left turn. I have an A3 8P1 2.0 TFSI BWA. The car runs like a dream, it least I don't notice any lack of performance. It has PCV delete, de-cat pipe and chip mods.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Dave,

I don’t know about the possible effects, if any, of all your ‘deleted’ bits, but your description of blue smoke on acceleration after overrun is text book valve guide/stem seals wear. Connection with turning??

Kind regards,

Gareth.
