Audi A4 grinding noise at cold start

Grinding noise on cold start. When the engine achieves its optimum oil temperature then the noise goes away. It's Audi A4, 2019, B8/8W, 1.4 35TFSI. It has only done 12k KMs and recently engine oil, oil filter and air filter was changed from an Audi dealer.

You also get erratic vibration in your seat on cold start and you feel it when the RPM is back to normal (once you have driven it a bit then seat doesn't vibrate anymore) but there is absolutely no vibration in the steering wheel. Car drives like brand new otherwise. No issues or sounds other than these two mentioned above.

Is this a normal? Can anyone comment please.

Hello Russel,

Sorry to hear of your issue, but can we take it that the 3 year warranty applies to new cars in Pakistan?

If so, you really don’t need to worry about it, since it just becomes the Audi dealer’s responsibility to deal with the problem.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Thank you for getting back Gareth. 2 years unlimited miles warranty so I am good there. Its just a bummer when new cars come across these issues. Going to take it to Audi on Monday. Let's see what they come up with.
