Help please. My 1993 2.3l cabriolet constantly 'hunting' when idling, loses power under acceleration, clouds of black smoke, smell of unburned fuel, stalls at traffic lights, won't restart, failed MOT on emissions which were off the scale.

Recommended brilliant Bosch fuel injection specialist Marlin Motor Engineers in Bletchley Milton Keynes - would recommend them. Problem diagnosed as broken idler switch. Trying to find - one  Part no 026133093D. Think I have tried all the usual places but they seem to be unavailable. Can anyone help?

Thanks George

Thanks Gareth and Gregg. Yes have tried eBay and Partsfinder as well as Audi main dealer parts,Prestige Motor Services, Autodoc in Germany and various German parts websites (luckily my daughter-in-law is German). Have emailed Mike at Audibits 2. If I can't get the part, does anyone know of a work around?

Hi have you tried cleaning the throttle body as if this is filthy and the butterfly valve is sticking that throws up a code for the position sensor.

Steve.
