Thanks Daniel,

My suggestion was to change the hub on the offending wheel. Doesn’t seem as if you’ve done that - or intend to - unless I’ve got it wrong.

Please ignore my suggestion if you want, but then you will still be in the situation of not knowing where to turn. Sorry, but I can’t make it any more clearer than that.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi Gareth,

i think we just didn’t get each other. Yes I’m definitely going to get it changed as I have basically nothing to lose. Once I’m over that I’ll post update again!

Thanks,

Daniel

Mine all came, back today short trip out with family cleared after a restart.

My battery is the 2013 original could be that (did fully charge it with smart charger)

or the drivers abs sensor.

Some strange fault codes from carista today below ..

I did notice when changing my discs my brake pad wear sensors are missing plugs ripped off both sides.

yeah same here it always clears with restart every time. What I’ve noticed is they always come on when I’m steering, parking, reversing so always at low speed. I’m waiting on pricing for a new wheel hub and get that changed for start and we’ll see how that goes.
My main question is that how will I pass on nct if my problem isn’t solved until then?

I've saw this in different post .

worth a check

I've just signed up as this was one of the many (prob 200+) threads I read on the internet regarding similar issues i.e TPMS, ABS, Spoiler, Park Brake, Stop Start errors etc.

I've been having this issue with my A7 for a couple of weeks now. and after spending almost £400 replacing abs wheel sensors, suspect coolant valves and testing with a new battery...it turns out it was actually the central gateway module under the rear seat or the wiring loom leading up to the gateway that's faulty/shorting.

I saw your post re your kids movement causing the glitches and low and behold when I applied hand pressure to the seat and carpet around the area of the module my dash lit up like a xmas tree. worse my instrument panel and mmi was going crazy too and rebooting whilst driving. Anyway I removed the rear bench and disconnected/reconnected the module and so far I have driven 20 miles with no issue. Prior to this I couldn't drive 10m before the car started pinging like mad.

this is unit under rear seat not my issue gave it wiggle with engine running.

Same here no faults at all and all of sudden it all comes up. I’ll add picture next time I’m driving. Got the chance to bring it to someone has experience with that problem I got appointment for the 15th of May so I’ll wait with everything until he might be able to tell me more. I’ll update after that.

Just as promised here are the pics of all faults, come up all out of nothing every time always at very low speed, reversing, parking, and I think every time when I’m steering in either left or right but never when the steering wheel is looking straight forward.537541E3-5BC1-4EE5-A752-7DC687DA0957.thumb.jpeg.9c0f449f3f649212946db98b35088dff.jpeg6238D4F2-9A9C-45D7-9975-37D661267402.thumb.jpeg.a59d7dabc8128dbc9a100793869451cb.jpeg6904F689-BEBE-4C66-A109-C391A566C4D7.thumb.jpeg.ed494b43949b44f0ea57e8265ccf610b.jpeg3E116B0B-B803-487C-B7F3-490D1AE90703.thumb.jpeg.e9780ab0269960d0683525d0d6bf6ce5.jpeg3EB4F20F-0908-4389-ACEE-A0C35C7B0599.thumb.jpeg.72b2096de9d04f300d6ad7be77a996bc.jpeg

So here again after a while, sorry it took very long but the guy I went to is so busy that’s how long I’ve waited. So turns out there was a broken wire after all even though it has been checked out first time they did not find it and this guy did now. He is 100% positive the faults will not come back and they haven’t yet but I don’t want to jinx it to be honest. He said the damage was so small that he barely found it and it takes a while but that was it. If them faults will ever come back I’ll update again! Until then problem seems to be solved for me!

Yeah I just asked him, there was some small damage in the loom between the sensor and the abs pump, he said he actually pulled a diagram of the wire and made a wire himself since you can’t bypass the fault. Not sure if that’s any help, but that’s all he told me. Hope it will help!

I've just had all of the same faults pop up today - ABS, ESC, TPMS, brake servo and parking brake, all on my 2016 C7 avant

Hi there, I’ve found the fault with the help of a very patient mechanic. If your guy can’t find any problems with wiring make sure to ask other mechanincs as it took me 3 different garages unfortunately also a ton of money as well. Now your case could well be different but it was the same for me and it has been solved since so is a6blacked007 as I’ve seen his comment now. Give it a shot nothing to loose there.

Hi

I got exactly the same problem with my A6 driver side front sensor. I have done nearly everything to fix it but error comes back after few days. I have changed the sensor twice, changed the wheel bearing, also changed the battery and also the alternator. Electrician also did full investigation on wire going into the main board but he couldn’t find any damage to cable.

Hi Ally, it might not be the case with you, but it took me 3 different guys to find the problem they were all looking for! I suggest trying another mechanic/electrician who might find damage on wiring!

Hi guys.

I'm having very similar issues to you all. Only my fault codes do not go away, they cant be reset. I'm currently trickle charging the battery to full, but it sounds like mine too could be a wiring fault. Has anyone got a better description and maybe photos of where their damaged wires were?

Cheers

Jamie
