Cheers mate, glad you approve 😊. I nearly bought an A3 about 18 months ago, but then I discovered the Black Edition was coming out, so decided to wait (as frustrating as it was).

Here’s a few shots in a different light. The colour is Nano Grey in case you we’re wondering. The wheels are powder coated in satin black, so they’re more of a matt finish than gloss.

Thanks Neil.

Yeah I've seen the new grey. That really goes nice with the black ed trim. Alloy mod suit the car too. New photos show them off much better so thanks for that. You have the 3 door model which is much better on the eye than the 5 door. All round a really nice motor so we can see why you waited.

My previous car was a black ed but due to new tax rules which came in early last year I wanted to avoid the extra costs so decided not to wait for the trim.

May I suggest a small amount of red on your break callipers?

Thanks Adam,

I nearly went for a sportback actually, purely for practical reasons, but always liked the 3 door more, for the same reason as you.

I ordered my car after going to one of Audi’s VIP weekends and they were offering a £3500 deposit contribution, as opposed to £1900 on the sportback, so it made it an easy decision in the end...and I could justify the cost for Black Edition trim 😂.

Now I’m not opposed to red calipers, in fact I think they look amazing on the right car. The one thing that stops me is that all the ‘Audi snobs’ out there will think I’m trying to imitate an S3. A3 and proud is my stance.

Hello guys!

I am new to this, so please don't judge me when I'm saying that I wasn't an Audi fan (i tought it's just an overpriced VW) until i bought this beauty a few months ago; also I do like older cars (90's-00's). Since then, I am in love with Audi and i wouldn't trade it for anything else (maybe for another Audi lol).

It has some scratches and scuffs but I will fix them in time, meanwhile I made some changes (like the custom cat back exhaust, and I'm really proud of it cause I made it myself with another guy) but i am still looking for some decent priced rims (preferably with dish), cause my baby need new shoes lol .

I hope you guys will like it and maybe some day we will have a meeting and/or a roadtrip to enjoy our little preciouses together!

O.K So I have one Audi in the family, it's known as the TiT because it is a bit of a problem child!

Wow! The e39 is the last of the proper BMWs :) and best 5 series in my opinion. great engine and great car :) my friends dad had a blue 528i with cream leather and the AC schnitzer body kit and wheels. Was an early model on a S plate :)

I do love the old bus mate, the V8 is a hoot and very addictive, it's an early sport model so has the side skirts and rear spoiler etc

It's done 150k miles and never let me down, the TiT on the other hand has done 90k and can't go a month without breaking lol

Thanks steve... couple bits of rust here and there... but as a painter it will be getting a full respray in same colour 👌🏻

You're welcome :)

Nice one! The common rust spots on vag cars from this era was the front wings due to vag putting foam inserts between the wing and wheel arch liner. Obviously the foam absorbs the water and thus causes the rust.

Thats exactly where it is lol and along the sills... so brand new wings on way and stonechipping back of them for extra protection 👌🏻

Good plan!!

Can't say I've ever seen the sills rust but it's worth you checking the lower doors both on the inside and the outside behind the lower door blades/mouldings.
