  1. Dave is right - the mmi units carty component protection so you need to "adapt" any new units to your vehicle. If it's stolen then it won't work. I had an issue on my VW sat nav a few years ago and got the protection sorted by a company in Bradford - https://m.facebook.com/cartechuk/ - they also have a website but my browser blocked it. The guy was really quick and hooked into the VW/Audi system. I think Hazzydayz in St Albans also offers this service - https://www.hazzydayz.com/

  2. Hi go buy a tin of aggressive DPF cleaner, stick it in the tank and go give it a run as Shytot suggested, Euros do a good one in an orange and black tin I have used that a couple of times and it works. Steve.

  3. I took my car into the dealers on Thursday and the warranty woman took a look and took photographs to send to Audi. I also gave her a copy of the last Technical Bulletin I posted and told her that it was a US Technical Document. She said she would take a look at it and see if there was a UK version and call me with the outcome in due course. I got a phone call from the dealer this morning saying that Audi had accepted that the trim is fading and to replace it under warranty. The car is now booked in. Hope with that document and your request that your own dealer speak with Audi and not just dismiss it themselves, that Audi should now accept your claims. Good luck.

  4. Have you been doing lots of short journeys? Is the engine running rough or is it in limp mode? The first step is to run it on the motorway @ a steady 60/70 for 20 - 30 minutes. That will force a dpf regen /clean.

  5. Based on Big Dave's response and your previous issue regarding water in the boot (and based on your recent posts water on the brain 😂) it sounds like the mmi unit in the boot would be a good place to start 👍

  6. A mate had something like that a few years ago on his. It got water in the boot from a fault on his sunroof and blew an amp or something 🤔 it might of been the sat nav. I can’t really remember but everything is daisy chained using optics and that’s why so many things went off on his. He’s moved to Australia now so can’t ask him really but I’m fairly sure that’s what Audi told him as they fixed it under warranty. They didn’t have it long either so I don’t think it was a big job. I’d check for water first then all the fuses. There’s some on the ends of the dashboard and also one in the rear luggage compartment. Ideally you could do with sticking it on vcds to try and narrow it down but without access to it I’d try the fuses etc before finding a garage.
