  1. Hi either way it sounds like a load of scallops, anyone noticed the price of electric and the fact all milk float owners are paying twice as much for a charge, here it comes lads no monthly pay anymore just tokens for your food and electric, TOTAL CONTROL, the motor manufacturers like Lemmings are heading for the edge of the cliff based on the sound knowledge that they are going to build loads of nuclear power stations to support what they are producing, the fact that it takes ten years to build a nuclear power plant and the fact no one has started to build a new one yet seems to have escaped them, good idea lads create more electric freight train traffic on an already overloaded system, blackouts?, probably.

  2. I had the same. Had 3 c8 in a 6 month period. All handed back and finally got all my money back and bought a VW touareg R line tech. The finish was a little better in the Audi but the VW is head and shoulders about the A6 is every other way. Has seriously put me off buying another audi again. Especially coming from a 330d GT which was close to perfect.

  3. I have the same car and it’s done this from day one (brand new). It’s on a lease and I can’t wait to hand it back. Audi say they are all the same. I say it’s terrible! Swapping it for a new 3 series!

  6. My A6 2.7 has chains not belt. The 2.0l has a belt.

  7. Hello Ben, Thanks for joining and posting your plea. I’m not sure whether your engine has chains or a belt. You don’t mention anything about it’s previous servicing history, so it’s obviously impossible to tell you when the belt (if belt) needs changing - which will depend on when, and at what mileage, it was last renewed. A rule of thumb is change it every 75K miles, or every 5 years - whichever comes first. Other considerations - when was the gearbox oil last changed? Kind regards, Gareth.

  8. Hello, I have a 2019 A6 (C8) avant with the 40tdi engine. My car does a irritating humming/buzzing sound which at first i thought to be from an unbalanced AC fan but soon discovered its not as i turned the AC off, the humming persisted. I had also noted that this noise changes in tone when slightly pressing the accelerator, so it is connected to fuel supply to the engine. I have recently discovered its source when I began using the start-stop function (which i did not used), as when the engine is stopped as i stop in traffic, the noise can be clearly heard (without beeing masked by engine noise) for 1-2 secs and then it stops to reappear again as soon as engine starts. It is clearly a pump noise and it is located under the passenger seat (my car is LHD). before this A6 I had a Q5 and the fuel filter was located under the passenger seat but had no pump. Maybe Audi moved the primary pump to this location or set a new pump on the fuel circuit, as there is also one pump on the tank (I car hear that too). I could not find any service manual or diagrams for this car, so I cannot tell for sure. I did not take the car to the dealer but i am planning on do it soon as this noise drives me mad.
