i bought an audi a3 1.8t 150bhp,agu code. car is completely standard. after a 320mile drive home the car has developed a rattle under gentle acceleration at about 2500-3000rpm, it also rattles when i lift of the throttle but it goes away when it drops below 2500rpm or when i accelerate, i am pretty sure it is the turbo as when i take if for a joyfull drive then turn it off, when i restart the car it gasses me out. this doesnt happen very often but i was told that it sounded like turbo seals, i think the bearing may be rattling now, ive not had the chance to check. iwas looking at the ko3 rebuild kit for around £30. i am confident about doing the work myself. has anyone rebuilt there turbo thereselves. thanks

HI Everyone, I recently bought an Audi A6 1.8T 2001, not knowning it would have issues straight away. When starting the car, it will misfire ramdonly for the first minute or so and there will hardly be any power, then the car will seem to try as normal but does feel like its being held back a little. I bought a VAG-COM reader and used VCDS lite software to read to error codes. Hi, I am from a company called Tyresure based in the Midlands. We deal with the TPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring system) of cars. we need to test an Audi from around the 2006-2008 year range, which is fitted with direct tpms sensors. This is rare in Audi's and the owner has to usually opt to have this an extra option in their car. I am writing this post as a plea for HELP in the hope I can track down my stolen Audi A4. Thieves helped themselves to it from outside my house (in NOTTINGHAM) on the night of Friday 9th Oct and I thought I might post here in case anyone locally or not locally might have seen it parked / dumped or anything else. Car details: Audi A4 Black Edition 1.8 TFSI, colour is black and it has the 19" black edition 5 spoke rotor wheels. Reg is RV12 RLU. Hi Everyone, I am looking for a Audi A3 5DR Deisel 2007 or 2009 for less than 7K. Is this possible? I have found few cars on few sites. what i realised was that compared to other models most Audi A3's have been insurance categorised as C or D. Is there a specific reason for this? Are the parts expensive? or Expensive to repair? Any advice would be helpful as I dont want to get it written off for a slight dent in the corner after buying an A3.

HELLO I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME.. MY BUILT IN SAT NAV(MMI) HAD A FAULTY DVD/SAT NAV LENS AND WAS`NT READING MY SAT NAV DISK.. SO I GOT A USED UNIT AND SWAPPED THE CD DRIVE.. MY SAT NAV SCREEN IS NOW STUCK ON "SAT NAV INITIALING, PLEASE WAIT" JUST WONDERED IF GETTIN THE CD NAVIGATION UNIT RECODED WILL SOLVE MY PROBLEM.. THANKS IN ADVANCE..

Hi im new to this website Just got a few concerns im thinking about purchasing some genuine 18" Audi A3 S Line Alloy Wheels for my A3 1.9 TDIe its a SE spec with the original 16" alloys on it. The ride is compared to most cars ive driven is beautiful. How much will the new alloys affect the comfort of the drive and the fuel efficeny? Anyone tried this upgrade?

Hi everyone, I've bought a 2002 Audi A4 not that long ago. Been tidying it up here and there but the thing bothers me the most is the terrible rubber/soft plastic coating that you find on the door/handle trim. I now this stuff is notorious for peeling and at the moment its seen better days. Is there a good way of removing it from the plastic handles, trim sides etc. without damaging the plastic underneath. Its possible that I might find replacement parts for the scratched ones but the same thing is just going to happen again & again. If you know what I'm on about, Please give suggestions. Cheers James

Hi Everyone, I'm looking to buy an A6(C5) with the 2.5 V6 TDI engine. Mostly I would like it with multironic/tipronic transmission without quattro. I'm totaly new with the Audis, don't know what i need to watch when i would like to buy one, what are the most common problems with the A6(C5). I heard about a lot of things, but i don't know what's the truth (when i bought my Ford Mondeo, many people told me that it isn't reliable, but i live with it without any particular problems). Also I'm not believe everything what laic people say. As some people told me that the automatic gearbox, especially the tiptronic isn't too reliable, it's apt to failure. About the multitronic I didn't heard anything. Also i heard about, and also read here, that the camshafts in the TDI V6 engines are often becomes worn. I'm completely confused (again). Hi Guys, Needed some help and advice. I hadnt tried my convertible roof for a few months now, since then i had the whole left side of my car painted (3 panels which were removed and painted from car plus bumper). I hadn't checked the roof opening/closing before and after the car returned! When i recently tried to open it, the roof opened fully. I drove around for a while and when i got to the park, i tried closing it, and thats when it wouldn't close. I could hear the hydraulics trying to close it but back panel only opened slightly and wouldn't go further. I closed it manually. The next day i tried openeing it again with button and now every time, it unlocks the roof and raises an inch but doesn't go further! I tried a manual reset by: Turning the car off, then manually opening roof and closing roof. Started car up again and tried and still nothing worked! This sums up what is currently happening: 1. if i turn car on i get flashing roof light. Which goes after a few minutes. 2. press the 'roof down' button, windows go down, roof dis-engages then stops after one inch. Storage compartment does not open. 3. Have to press roof button again to close it. Thanks, Nads

The 100 is no longer produced but it has left a lasting legacy on the Audi lineup. When it was first launched the car was a small four door coupe akin to the A7 coupe of today (in shape, not size) and was designed to provide affordable stylish motoring for a lot of people to enjoy. In fact it does share a striking resemblance to the A7 of today. It's the way in which the roof line tapers with almost the exact same style rake. Even so as newer models came out the coupe styling was phased out bit by bit until the 1982 C3 model became positively square jawed. It was quite clear that the coupe was gone for good in the 100 and it was now unmistakably a more practicle saloon car. And then in late 1991 the C4 was launched with a more rounded front end but the coupe hadn't returned. What it did bring was the name Avant for Estate Models which is a name that Audi still uses to this day. It also bought in the S4 which would go on to be the performance name for the A4. Speaking of the A4. The A4 was the car that finally put the 100 to sleep when it was finally launched. The A4 has become one of the biggest selling Audi models and a staple in the lineup since it was launched. Now that's not a bad legacy, the A4 and the A7!
