thanks, yes that makes sense as mine is used opposite of yours, all low mile trips 2 to 10 miles, probably once every 4 months it goes on a 70 mile run when we go and visit friends, thanks again for your help you have been very helpful, ps I used to have megane cabriolet so I know exactly what you mean about space in the back, waste of time having seats, they should make most cabriolets 2 seaters lol, I hope the nice weather returns for you soon and you can have the roof off again

I think it varies with the kind of driving you do. I live in the sticks, and all my Audi journeys have been long ones - all over Europe, and a couple of times to Scotland, mostly with the top down. It's not my main car (it's a bit too impractical for everyday use - it's effectively a 2-seater), so it doesn't get involved in shopping trips or ferrying the kids around. It also has the old 1.4 litre engine rather than the newer 1.5 litre that yours has - maybe that makes a difference.
