  1. Hi all I have recently had the master slave, clutch and fly wheel done but since I have had the car back depending on how far down I push the clutch to change gear it clicks on the way down then on the way up any ideas please .

    Thanks

    Chris

  2. I have a 2.0 tdi 2012 and mine makes the same noise turning to the left I've been told it's just the power steering pump when turning but strange as I don't hear it turning to the right I've had mine for nearly 2 years and not bothering me and cant be nothing major its passed M.O.T like it

  3. Yeah I know what you mean but the way this done it's hidden because they drop the sub frame and drill a hole closest to the block on the top of the DPF so there is no reason for this to be seen and also where I take it for an mot will be the same garage that will be doing the work so all good on that part ,surely having this work done will solve and improve the drive of the car? thanks for your advice on this thou Steve

  4. Hi Steve, Yeah the DPF will be gutted but left in place so it looks like it's still on the car so won't be an mot failure. EGR will be blanked off then because of these 2 bits being done will need a remap car is in great working order apart from the above it's serviced regular will go from 136bhp to just under 200bhp so looking forward to that part of it haha, just wondered what people's thoughts were on having this done ?

    Cheers

  5. Ok I'm getting where you are coming from but the garage I have bought the car from are doing the springs free of charge for me they can do the tracking for me but they don't have the equipment to optiline it,so I'll get springs and tracking done while car is there,

The only reason I'm thinking of getting it optilined is that 2 mechanics from the garage I normally use for my work checked it today and said the camber looks more on the side that is lower by the knacked eye if by having the springs done sorts this issue I have out  then I will have no need to get it optilined I'm just thinking ahead.

Because it has one worn tyre and one brand new tyre on the back does it not make sense to get a new one on the side that is worn so I have 2 new tyres which should then wear the same in due course .

    Kind regards

    Chris

  6. Not getting the shock absorber done, I'm getting springs done at the garage I purchased the car as they are paying for it!,I will then get the tracking done because that's the done thing after the suspension has been done am I correct?, and as the other rear tyre is pretty much brand new does it not make sense to put the same tyre on the side that is worn ?
