  1. Hello Audi owners.

I'm sure that at some point in all of our lives we have had a day where we just don't feel like doing anything. A day when you trudged off to work or school when all you wanted to do was sit down and do nothing. It's a day when your motivation took a holiday in Barbados and left you behind.

They happen, it's a part of being human but I believe, through the power of watching the Tudors from Showtime, that I have found the answer. The back story is this; Anne Boleyn walked to the scaffold to have her head lopped off. This got me thinking about my own mortality, which cheered me up. Then, later in the series Katherine Howard happened to suffer the same fate but before she became a head height shorter she said this "life is very beautiful!"

This got me thinking again, but not about my own mortality, but of all the hours I wasted enjoying a lye in on Saturday. I thought also of all the times I sat down in front of the telly, and watched something I didn't want to watch, only when quizzed about my choice of programming, to answer "nothing else on".

Ultimately I thought of all those hours of my beautiful life that I wasted doing a whole lot of nothing. Couple this thought with the thought of mortality and only having a limited time on the earth and I quickly came to this solution.

YOLO is for chavs who can't speak properly and Carpe Diem is a tad old. So I unveil to you a more poetic motto; when I die I want to have lived a life that makes people looking back on it think "his was a life worth living"

    That's motivation for you.

  2. As far as I know from past experience with head gasket failures you'd know if it's gone. For me I had lots of leaking and overheating in a couple of minutes worth of driving. Unless if you're a experienced mechanic I'd also say it's not a job you should be trying yourself. My Dad had one go once and not even many garages would give him a quote.

What specifically makes you think it's a head gasket?

    Glen!

  3. Not sure how you would get the code but I reckon you could find something on here about the engine. Maybe a breakers yard. Online parts store. eBay. There are a number of places you can go but you just got to be prepared to search.

    Glen!

  4. We have been very active on social media channels for a while. This forum is steadily growing too. I think part of the problem might be that we need to start creating posts ourselves in threads like this one. The Club Lounge at present only has 16 or so topics and it's visible when you first load up the page.

My thought is that it makes the whole forum seem a little dead.

    Glen!

  5. Yes there is. It's in the gallery called modded Audi's. Unfortunately I don't have the file on my laptop anymore so I can't really edit this post for a while.

    Glen!

  6. Overheating is never a good sign. My first instinct would be to check the coolant level. It should be somewhere on the left of the engine and pretty high up. I took this image off the internet to point out where to find it.

What you're looking for is that cylindrical and pink bottle on the left. Most of them are pink nowadays but you can also look for this symbol to help you determine which it is. Normally it'll have coolant written on it or have a little thermostat icon.

    Hope this helps.

If anyone else has other ideas be sure to help out.
