sounds stupid, but have you checked the fader? make sure the radio settings are not the cause

have you had the gearbox oil changed? i have heard this is an important oil change as a new gear box is ridiculous money. the oil is not cheap, about £120 per litre and requires about 5-6 litres. i have a receipt from when i bought my car and it was £750+ vat.

i think i may stick to the original wheels and just put a higher profile tyre on it. should save issues in the long run.

my 2.0 TDI (170k miles) runs rough with blue smoke and a smell of burning oil until its warmed up (possible choke) and there are no EMI lights.

I have had the engine carbon cleaned and serviced, although im not convinced they did the filters as i had to replace a very dirty air filter the following day.

I was wondering if it could be a glow plug failing?
