  1. I don't know about the TFSI e but I have a 2020 40 TDI which is a mild hybrid and I ordered the space saver wheel. It fits in the boot with the sub speaker inside it. It did mean I had to have a factory order rather than a stock car but in my opinion that was worth the wait.

  2. It's an option. I think you just put the SIM in the slot in the armrest. I haven't done it but it should work. Just remember your over the air updates and traffic etc will then also use your data.

  3. I think the only way it could save money is if you can find a good data package and put that sim in the car. But then you would have that expense of an extra SIM card. I guess its 6 of one and half a dozen of another. Certainly wouldn't use the Audi data plan. Its very expensive considering you can get a SIM card for about £10 a month for 30gb (smarty).

  4. I am pretty sure its an embedded Sim that you can pay an extortionate amount for data. Or add your own sim under the arm rest but that will then use your data for the traffic services etc rather than the built in one. I personally have not bothered with it as it's only my daughter that will use data in the car and she has her own data connection with her phone.

    Thanks @Jinxit.

VW Finance never got back to me so i asked emailed the service manager at my local Audi. He's one holiday but when he gets back the promotion will have defo ended. The irony is i got an email reminder from them saying my car was due it's service when it's not.

Have you had an luck with your dealer since?

No Luck yet and its been a week since I last contacted them. I will try to get time to call today or tomorrow. At least they know I tried before the promo ends so that should help me. I would contact anyone in your local service department anyway despite the manager being away today or tomorrow denying knowledge of the offer ending early. they may be able to do something outside the offer. If you leave it until after the published end date you won't have any leverage.

Audi recently advertised a summer 20% off service plans and was advertised till 31st July 2020.
Was meant to buy it but had other priorities then knowing it was ending at the end of the month I still had time.
However, the promotion was pulled last week already. I tweet Audi and they just said to contact Volkswagen Finance Services but nobody has gotten back to me....Pretty poor or false advertising especially from a big company if you ask me.

Just wondering if you guys know if this was a one off or do they do these offers all the time/annually?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Martin,

I tried to buy this at the beginning of July (first week). I tried online first where money was taken and then refunded due to "a problem setting up the plan". I then tried via the dealer and had the same issue. I am still waiting for a resolution. Not sure if this is a regular offering,

  7. I haven't seen a way to remove the shield. At first I thought it was telling me I had privacy restrictions in place but It stays even if you allow all access. Maybe try turning all access off? it may go then but I think that would then disable the google maps? I have only had my car 5 weeks and due to being furloughed have hardly used it. I have had time to go through the manual though which is how I know what it symbolises as I was curious as well.

With regard to the sluggish behaviour, the 40 TDI with S ironic does not appear to suffer. At least I don't think mine does. I have come from a Passat with the same gearbox though. I go back to work tomorrow so will be back to 120 miles a day so will get a better understanding of how the car works and drives.

  8. The oil will absorb soot and increase in volume. This was very common on older diesels and is why diesel engined cars always have much darker oil than a petrol engine. However I am not sure how soot from the DPF could get into the oil. Maybe it can but I don't know.
