Well saying that the Mrs has been driving it more often these days!!!
still I’d expect any of the other speakers to pop but the same one gone again, SODS LAW!!
-
Hi Steve, I already asked that question when I got the last worker fitted by my local In Car Entertainment place they said it would be very difficult as there isn’t much back space for certain speakers to be housed in that space so was told to re-fit the original Audi spec.
-
Just this week I’ve noticed yet again the passenger side front door speaker sounds muffled and distorted. The same thing occurred in July 2021 so I replaced it with the genuine Audi speaker and now it’s gone again!! Anyone else had this issue or is it just my bad luck!!

Yes that fully opens and closes everything including the sunroof

First thought was that with wear and tear the passenger mirror wants more power to function and with vehicle not running it can’t get enough current to unfold but once vehicle is started the extra power supplied by the alternator allows it to work. Unfortunately failing power fold mirrors is common across all cars
Hi thanks for your reply, the tragic thing is not so long ago I’ve had the battery replaced supplied from main dealer as well!!

Hi All,
Ive noticed recently that when I start the car the drivers side door mirror folds but the passenger side remains folded. Only when I manually turn the turn mirror knob to fold and then unfold then both unfold together. When you remotely arm the car both mirrors fold no problem. Any idea’s??

Mine only does it on the motorway only, whilst it’s up when you slow down it bleeps with the rear spoiler fault. Then it stays up until you park up and shut the car off completely and only then you have to press the button to drop it down, it won’t go down automatically.

I didn’t reset the MMI when the tyres were fitted but I always reset it after checking the tyre pressure. Well that resolved this issue, I have a second issue with regards to my rear spoiler fault, do I start a new topic or carry on with this thread?
-
Hi Sid2020, No it doesn’t display the PSi readings therefore it must be a passive system. A couple of months ago I had the new tyres fitted on the front, and the old pair went on the rear, which probably has uneven tread depth on them, therefore causing the TPMS fault to occur just on high speed travels, that makes sense now hopefully 🤞🏽

Does your vehicle display the psi of your tyres or is it passive system that warns of pressure loss but does not give a reading, passive systems do not have a sensor in the wheel instead they rely on the rotational speed of the wheel, a flat tyre is a smaller rotating mass so must rotate more to maintain same speed as a inflated tyre, system has been in use for years in bmw’s and does not like tyres with different tread depths, a very clever system using crazy calculations

No idea doesn’t indicate, I’ll get it on a diagnostic machine and see what it comes up with 👍🏽

Hi Steve thanks for getting back to me, I was thinking that also, but it’s baffling why it only goes off on the motorways never on the roads🤔
-
Hi Guys
I’ve been having the TPMS warning light pop up only on the motorways never on local driving and not always straight away, it always seems to be at half way point of the journey. When I do check the tyre pressure at the service station they seem to be fine maybe 1psi out but that’s probably due to different machines being calibrated I assume. The strange thing is I never seem to get the fault message on the return journey! I always check the pressure before leaving maybe the night before or on the day.

It seems I misunderstood when you wrote in an earlier post on 6th April that the new battery did not solve the spoiler problem.
Not sure if the new battery needed a good charge but I’ve had no issues with the spoiler error code or the spoiler not coming down after you stop driving. My mechanic did say at the time the next thing to look at was the sensor for the spoiler.
-
Hi, since I had the battery replaced it seems to be working fine. Automatically goes up after 70+ mph
-
That’s good to know, my passenger door speaker has been fine since, touch wood so are all the others 🤞🏽

I'll admit batteries cause electrical gremlins when they start to fail but usually very intermittent ones. As I say could it be the switch that controls the spoiler?
Or the sensor that controls it automatically raising/lowering
So Steve I’m I right in saying it’s only manually operated via the switch. It doesn’t raise automatically when you’re going above a certain speed?
Like I said before the fault doesn’t appear on local journeys 🤔

You're welcome 🙂 I'm assuming the battery was coded to the car?
I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
Yes I ended up getting a battery from Audi (Varta) making sure it definitely coded up to the car.
I asked my mechanic and he said :-there was an intermittent code for the spoiler motor but a static code for a voltage too low code for the spoiler. He was under the impression that a new battery would have resolved this, but obviously not!! -

It could be an issue with the switch.
Hi Steve, thank you for your reply, I’ve recently had my battery replaced, which seemed to have been the factory fitted one. The garage thought it may have been part of the cause for the spoiler fault, but it still seems to be doing it. If it was the switch would it not do it randomly even on local journeys?
-
Hi Guys,
I’ve got an issue with my rear spoiler, whilst driving on the motorway, twice now, I get a message on the dash stating the rear spoiler fault. It stays open and the switch doesn’t do anything, even after switching off the engine the spoiler remains open. After the cars been parked up for a few hour, it resets itself and remains operational. This hasn’t occurred on local journeys yet.

I’ve got Brembo disc and pads on my A7 found the braking smooth as anything. And got them done at half the price what Audi Leicester quoted me.

If you're using Waze then you're using a better system that's in real time compared to the satnav which will be more out of date.
Thanks Steve, but would you know if the updated version does have speed cameras included?
-
I currently have this version (see attached photo) on my A7 on 2016. If I get it updated to the latest version, will it pin point ‘Speed Cameras’?
Leicester Audi quoted me £200 for the latest version, but can not confirm if the maps contain Speed Cameras.I’m. currently using Waze through CarPlay which is fantastic. So is it actually worth me updating the Inbuilt Navigation software? please advise and thank you.

Sorry to say but mine definitely doesn’t sound like that!! Have you shown it to a mechanic?
