  1. Hi everyone

So I've ended up cancelling my ABT Sq7 2024 as audi have rejected every single good colour. Including ones from their exclusive range. Apparently they will only paint sq7s one of 4 or 5 colours of their own choosing which is a real shame.

So my Matador red SQ7 tdi will be staying with me for the foreseeable!

Has anyone had a Millteck exhaust sound module fitted to a MY20 model? I can find plenty of examples of the MY17 which sounded awesome even before the upgrade but mine sounds empty inside.

  2. The exclusive range with Audi is that they have a colour chart you can choose from, Ara Blue being one of them, but they declined that apparently because of the sensors and radar system. Usually audi exclusive let you submit any colour however not necessarily from audis own range then they approve or decline it. Currently they're declining everything.

I've just submitted Estoril Blue which is a BMW colour, and having personally owned an SQ5 in that colour in the past I know they CAN do it with Adaptive Cruise etc but I'm waiting to see what they come back with.

  3. I'm trying to buy a new Audi and most of my exclusive requests are being knocked back with no explanation.

I was expecting a new ABT SQ7 2024 in Ara Blue Crystal and they've now said (2 months in) they can't do that colour?

So now I don't know what colour to choose. Any suggestions? I really like this colour but can't work out what it's called, Audi reckon it's Navarra Blue, but I disagree - my wife's Sq5 is Navarra and it's miles darker even in the sun.

    Help me pick an exclusive!

  4. Bit late for the reply but I only just got here!

I have a 2020 SQ7 Tdi and have had it from new.

It's absolutely phenomenal. Best car I've ever had. Mine was mapped by DMS Automotive after the running in period and so has been running at 540bhp and 1040nm since I've had her. Faultless. Fuel economy is good (long term trip says 28mpg average over 40,000 miles) and that's being driven "briskly" pretty much everywhere. On a run I can get her up to 37mpg at 70mph.

Mines a vorsprung so has all the toys of which there are many.

i would recommend it to anyone. In fact i have placed an order for a brand new one hopefully being delivered in June 24, it'll be the petrol as that's all that's available now but I'm sticking SQ7.

Hope that's of some help and still relevant!

It's odd that they sound different. What's the mileage difference between the two? It could be that the 2017 has loosened up more which has changed the engine note.

The other option is to get them both on a ramp to see if the exhausts are the same.

They're different shape cars so the exhausts are different. The red one is brand new (well it was 8000 miles ago but no exhaust note difference since delivery). It's very very different in so much as the black one sounds like a proper V8. Even though its a diesel.

  6. Hi everyone,

Here's some pics of my current "fleet". Me and my other half tend to have the same cars these days as our daily drivers to make life more simple!!

Started audi life with a 3.2V6 A3 2005 auto and absolutely loved it! From there moved on to an RS5 and then SQ5 Diesel and now my wonderful SQ7 Vorsprung MY20 in matador red as pictured.

One question I have - I've heard of a throttle response problem with newer audis that IS fixable by dealers who understand what it is- other dealers would rather turn a blind eye like mine... as I have two sq7s I can feel the difference in throttle lag instantly from changing one car to the other!

Has anybody had this and had it fixed? Any ideas? Both cars are incredible but the MY17 car is noticeabley quicker to react to throttle input even at 10mph off the line.

  7. Hi everyone I'm new here!

    I've got two SQ7s, a late 2017 and a 2020 vorsprung.

I've had both mapped by DMS Automotive and they're chugging out a rather nippy 529ps and 1049nm which has transformed the cars. Absolutely fantastic.

However. The 2017 sounds a billion times better than the 2020. I'm technically minded but I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows of the specific reason behind this, I'm aware emission restrictions have forced a change in components but I'd like to do some mods to my 2020.

Any light on the subject would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, I have a Q7 and just about to trade it in for an SQ7 Vorsprung. Unfortunately due to emissions et al, Audi won't fit any side steps to the vehicle which I have grown to love on my current Q7 Vorsprung. Does anyone have information that would allow me to research getting some fitted in the UK by a responsible partner and post the dealer sale and whether that would affect the car when returning it under PPC? I could simply have them removed if that's acceptable too at that time, but I'm hoping its possible and others have done this successfully. I'm not bothered about speed and dynamics as I'm sure it would still be a nice mover but with better access management 🙂  Many thanks, Mike

    Hi mate,

I've got a new shape 2020/21 SQ7 Vorsprung and I haven't had any joy getting the side steps. I had every dealer possible contacted and nobody would supply me a set. If you find a set I'd be greatly interested to see the results as I'd like them on mine!

    Hi all,

I have had a 2015 Q7 4.2L V8 for the last 4 years, lovely car but I am at the stage of wanting a bit more from it OR deciding just to upgrade.

I am looking for recommendations into tuning modifications in or around the Essex area.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hi mate

Give DMS Automotive a call. They're based in Southampton but they come to you and do remaps in situ. I've had both my SQ7s done and the difference is absolutely biblical.

I had my RS5 and SQ5 done before these and my Ferrari F430 by them too. They're significantly more expensive than your local tuners but the results and warranty make it worth it in my opinion.

Hello All, please excuse this newbie question

I have just collected a 2018 SQ7 this morning and I have the speed limit displayed on the centre Map screen but .....

I thought I could display this on both the HUD and the Virtual Cockpit

I have spent ages trying to see where something maybe unticked but I just cant

    Can anyone help?

    Ian

Hi Ian, amazed nobody has stepped in to help here but I only registered today!

I'm gonna nip out to the car and have a look, I have two SQ7s - an MY17 and a MY20 and both have the speed limit displayed in the HUD so I'll report back shortly.
