  1. Yeah was gonna do this. Don't fancy chasing wire all all around the car. Done that years ago in an old E30, that was ok because they didn't have the speakers in the doors just in the front kick panels and rear shelves. Plus not replacing the whole system like I read some have done, just the speakers that have blown. I actually quite like the sound in our A4.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I shouldn't really be surprised by this, as I actually work for a car manufacturing company and they do everything they can to cut costs. To them it's all about the bottom line, they all say the customer comes first but in reality it's profit first. Customer satisfaction is a secondary thought. Wonder why there is no brand loyalty anymore. I was actually thinking of the aftermarket route when I asked the question, just can't find any info on the speakers like I said.
  3. Yeah know it's illegal but it was either that,or, a god knows how much bill replacing parts that actually where working as the garage I took it to for diagnostics could only narrow it down to either the adblue pump (£800+) or an injector (£600+) and they couldn't even say for deffo it was either one. To be fair I did speak to somebody at Audi and he said he'd never know a pump to fail and was more loto be one of the lines. But needed the car for work, so....went with the map. Car feels great though. Picks up better, smoother the all the gears. Drives like it never has since we had it. It's 10yrs old this year and feels like new. Do like Audi engines just !Removed! expensive to keep on the road.
  4. Hello again lads After a bit of advise again if possible. Rear door mid speakers have blown BOTH sides if you can believe that (blame the missus, she does crank the sound up). Anyway can't find any info on line about them. I know the part number but not to interested in paying Audi prises. So does anybody know anything about the power output and the frequencies and the ohms. Not planning on replacing everything so I would like to just get something that will slot in with the system all ready in the car. Part number for the original is 8K0 035 411 made by some company called ASK Industries in Poland. I always thought we had th B & O system but apparently not they have a "A" suffix Thanks Simon
  5. Yeah done this but the guy recommended remove the adblue. You reckon this is unnecessary then? I don't know just going off what he said. To be fair he also said it won't do anything as the system is no longer working but as a precaution.
  6. Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a go if can't find a drain somewhere
  7. Good morning everyone, It's been a while since I last posted on here. But once again I require the help of the experts. For whatever reason I need to drain my adblue tank. I have looked on line, tried putting a line down the filler neck but it just doesn't feel right. There seems to be something stopping the pipe going down and there are what I can only describe as ridges. Does anybody know if there is a drain plug or do I just persevere with the filler neck and syphon it out. Thanks in advance to any and all who can help Simon Sorry guys should have said car is 2015 A4 2.0tdi 163 ultra.
  8. Thanls for the reply Stevey oh this is the forst ive heard this, only read what an improvement it makes to the cars performance and obviously no parts to go wrong. Guess I'll give some more thought.
  9. Hi everyone I'm looking to get both the dpf & egr removed or deleted which ever is better,( I've got error code P2002 plus been advised by Audi specialists my egr cooler has gone & the dpf, well who needs to replace one of those) but looking for somewhere reliable to do the work, any suggestions? I can get it done round the corner from me but just have a feeling about the company that I just dont trust them. Oh any ideas on how much it will be. Thanks for any and all responses
  10. Yeah I do have the 2.0tdi, I take it that this is a common issue with these cars? Thanks for the link, I'll definitely give it a look
  11. Thanks was just hoping really. But why am i not losing coolant? How difficult is an egr cooler change?
  12. Hi all I'm new here and looking for a bit of advise. My A4 exhaust tips are white and my engine management light is on. Now it's been in to an Audi "specialists" for a diagnostic as all i could pull from the car was a generic code so thought they could find something more specific. But alas came back with the same code but pointed out my tips where white and that points to a faulty egr cooler. Told me i will be burning coolant. Right so my question is this, my coolant hasn't moved went on a trip yesterday 3 hour drive either way and nothing except very white exhaust tips, so would you say my cooler is shot, or could it be the maf sensor gone and the car burning more fuel and in turn more adblue. I'm at a real loss the "specialist" what £250 just to inspect the cooler and then i got to buy the part (Audi only)£450. So any advise is welcome right now. Thanks Simon
