    Hi I found the cause of the problems I had , I plugged in a snap on scanner and the fault code that came up said ECU no communication to drivers door so I checked the wires that pass through the rubber boot into the door and found the large brown wire broken, soldered in new wire and every thing works fine again, hope this can be of some help to some one else

    Just like to say hi from Essex I'm currently driving a 2002 a4 1.9 tdi avant having previously owned a the 2.5 tdi Quattro sport and a a3 tdi , I'm having an issue with the drivers door not locking , windows not working interior light not going out and alarm not arming but it doesn't happen every time. Hoping some one can help me with this issue please. Lea
