Hi, My 2021 avant came with both installed. The cassette for the roller net sits behind the top of the back seats & extends into two sockets in the roof lining. Works fine with the luggage cover in place.

Like a complete muppet.. I checked tge other day and couldn't see the dog guard.. New guard arrived today, went to fit it and found one there already but with the pull up tab tucked behind the parcel shelf hence why I didn't see it. And you've guessed it.. a second hand dog guard arrived today .. in very good condition   so I now have 2 ..Doh.

Anyone want a dog guard for a b9 Avant? Very good condition?

  2. Just got rid of my Peugeot 208 Gti which I owned from new and had 146k on the clock and was still giving the same MPG as when I bought it and running sweet. Moral of the story - I now have an A4 avant with 46k miles on the clock - looking to change oil every 6k miles and as it's much better build quality than the Peugeot, I hope to keep it for many years and 100k should be easily achieveable if not 150k..

Keep you car regularly serviced and it should keep on going.. good luck.. and they are fab cars.. I had owned an A5 3.0 TDI Quattro sport before and regret selling that, so I'm sold on Audi

  3. I have just bought an A4 Avant - 2.0 Tfsi quattro 252 - it has single dual tailpipes and I noticed vapour coming from both sides yesterday when running in the cold - not ure if that helps, but I was under the impression that they are both real pipes and not one being fake on the quattro and S4. The god news, I was told many years ago by a garage owner that vapour coming out of the eshaust is a sign the engine is running correctly.

  4. Hi all,

I've just bought a dog guard / screen - the official Audi one that is a mesh type that pulls up to stop our fury friends from jumping from the boot to the back seat.

Can it be fitted together with the boot luggage area cover, or do you have to have one or the other - it's not arrived yet so can't check but thought I'd ask here if anyone has done this?

    Hello Rich,

If your intended purchase is indeed belt driven, have you checked the service history to ensure it was change in 2021 (at 5 years old) as is taken to be the normal convention for belt changes.
No doubt you have already obtained copy of the computer recorded service history for the car.
Your car is probably slightly too old to be retailed by a main dealer-? Unless things have changed as prices escalate.
It sounds as if David’s main dealer may be worth a look at if yay intend to have yours serviced at a main dealer.
    Kind regards,

    Gareth.

    Hi Gareth

    It's chain driven. 2.0 Tfsi quattro 252

Yep seen Audi service records. Dsg and Haldex serviced. Been part of Audi service plan. Still got 2 x Audi services left.

I was looking for a younger car initially  but I'm only doing about 4k miles per year now so decided an older car with low mileage and full service record should be fine.

Hi. Just for all those that keep going on about dealers being stealers, and we must all use "indies" (independant)....

I continue to disagree and offer an alternative opinion.

Yet again, just had routine  work done at Audi main dealer.

Full service and timing belt/tensioner and water pump replaced. Very competitive price. Plus they did a brake fluid change as it was due, and did not charge for this !

Booked in with only 4 days notice, AND as I needed a courtesy car of a similar size to what I'm used to (A4 Avant), they lent me a 2021 registered A6 from demo stock.

All parts used are genuine Audi....and warranted for 12 months, and it looks way better in my service history for work to have been done by dealer.

Now, of course it's individual choice and opinion, but to me it's a 'no brainer to use my local Audi dealer.

    David

I intend yo pay that little extra and maintain the Audi service history when I get my a4 avant in a week or so.

  7. Has anyone had retro fit front parking sensors fitted and if so, what as your experience and who fitted them?

I'm about to take ownership of an A4 B9 2016 avant and my past 4 cars have all had them fitted as std but not this A4.

Would like integration into mmi but if not possible, then I’d live with it.

Need them to be flush and colour coded.

contacted Audi and they tell me they done supply and fit front sensors only rear which sounds strange.

Any advice would be greatly received
