  1. Still learning myself, found the leak eventually had to do it in the dark, neighbours use to it by now, it’s coming from the crossover cooling pipe between cylinder heads looks like the rubber seal has gone on connection to pipe on passenger side, a lot of stripping down to get to but that’s the fun of it,cheers Steve.      How are you getting on with your car

  2. Hi all,has anyone had a coolant leak at back of engine, seems to be coming from where the flywheel is and dripping down to where the metal bar is for securing the under tray to,has only happened since I topped up the coolant,it’s a 3.0l a6 c5 Quattro 😬,thanks

  3. That makes it an even more special occasion, hope all is good for your wife,it’s really good to hear a nice thing considering life can be !Removed! at times🙏. Going to go and get half my body dry from the waist down was pouring down with rain when under car, will keep updated with it and if it solves the problem, again congrats

  4. Congratulations, you might want to make that long term on car😁,you’ll be kept busy, getting there on health just this daft brain playing up amongst other things .my youngest is down at limpston just now on his last bit of training for royal marine commandos it’s been a quick 22 years,so make the most of your time with your new arrival because it flies in,I’m sure you’ll get it on the road and pass it down to your children, was just under car trying to get to this f125 switch🤬,if I get it done within three days I’ll be happy don’t want to push myself or accidents will happen

  5. Hi Steve, sorry to hear about the cars(a bit unlucky)sorry not responded been ill, have you tried engineengineering.co.uk,had a quick read of this content last night when looking how to replace my f125 switch on car,not been driven for a long while then had this problem, anyway looked back just now at engine code and this company have full reconditioned engines 2.5tdi v6,they might have others also just if you’re thinking of a whole rebuild

  6. Sorry to hear that Steve, I’ll have a look about for that type of engine and if it’s a straight swap if you want, don’t sleep much so up most nights and early mornings. Also got myself a good diagnostic tool and changed klm to mph on mine, also found an old thread from snap-on about the gears all light up and also in gear 4, turns out that disconnecting the battery can cause this, had a intermittent problem on the f125 switch, the thread suggested you do a throttle reset or relearn so did this and no more problems with the gears,in drive it’s shows gear 1 not 4 in triptronic also 1 ,I’ve not had the gears all light up since this and no codes /faults appear and that’s been over 2weeks and it’s more responsive,so here’s hoping.again hopefully you can get yours back on the road

Yep the sump is the lowest point. I may have a water leak too but I think it's the washer bottle.

Hi Steve, how’s your Audi doing.will it be back on the road soon or is it worse than you thought

  8. No problem m8,hopefully your post won’t be to bad,I’ll be ordering the trim that goes over the mirror adjustment with the folding mirror symbol on it,I’ll see how many they have and order a few if people might want them, won’t ship to uk because of brexit but have family in Ireland will ship there first then to me

  9. Hi Steve,I’m sure it was done before I got car, will check paperwork if I can find it (daft brain playing up) can’t remember where I put it,will also check the Japanese paperwork with Google translate to see, also was looking at an obdeleven diagnostic things,on android system it does a lot of stuff, checking, coding etc. similar to vcds but less complicated I think ,as it will only be for my car

  10. Might be worthwhile getting one of those steel under trays Steve, are they easily got,if so might get one myself as the country roads here have more holes in them than a government manifesto, like most places have, then it’s us that need to pay for it.just last summer between me,daughter, son had 7 shock absorbers and 4 springs all within 2 months, crazy…hope it’s not to hard on the wallet m8

  11. Hi all, couldn’t find the proper thread sorry. What’s happening is when car is in park then put into reverse it’s ok then when I go to move gear down to drive I noticed that the light on dash jumps back to park then moves along the gears and lights up drive as it should, then in drive and go to reverse it goes to park first then lights up reverse, when it does this you would not see it unless you’re looking for it. Could it be the multifunction switch needs replaced or is something slipping at the gear stick side, the odd time all lights on gears are red,if someone has had similar issues and got fixed would be greatfull for any info, cheers

  12. Sorry m8 just seen this, yeah that’s what I was thinking, there’s a few of them one that fits directly in place of the original and one that is bigger but it takes away original trim round the cup holder and hazard switch and replaces it with a black trim, just need to sort out what cables are what ,there’s 3 fakra (if that’s what there called) at back of radio,a long block connecting next to them, and the main block connector

  13. I’ve seen those bit of hit and miss though, with mine being the rns-jp there is only three solid connectors at back where the adapter has a small plug with 4 ,pins on it,I think some of the radios have connections that have 3 of them in a row separately so you can disconnect 1 and replace with the adapter, unfortunately not this one

  14. Was thinking about Bluetooth also, not for phone calls but so wife can listen to music other than cds,so might bring that side of car into 21st Century, would add front and rear cameras at the same time, would get one though that still plays cds

  15. Hi Steve, after a couple of days of dry weather I removed the trim and lifted carpet and found out exactly where the water was coming in,it’s running down behind the cream foam that sits at the top of the left hand side of the carpet behind the heater blower, which is coming from the filter housing thankfully underneath the carpet is dry where the modules are 😁,also had a look over car everything looked ok apart from a hose that was loose at the air filter box underneath the air intake put back in twist and lock.also sussed out water getting in and wetting carpet on boot lid trim, someone at some point tried to take panel of not realising that the sun blind had to come off separately and broke trim which then sits further out onto rubber then water on there running down trim and sitting on corner of carpet on boot lid, will fix when better weather fabricate a new u shape connection to fix it,still trying to get a new filter housing

  16. Hi m8,don’t get me wrong the car ran ok it was the hill start on it was a constant problem, with that year of car it was the facelift model so a lot of previous problems were fixed,it just needed sorted more than usual and made a noise I didn’t like on hill start, wife is still not happy I sold it and got the Audi,we had car since brand new nearly was 8 months old when got it,I agree with the electric side and relying more on the cars computer for everything
