Hi All,

I think everyone in this thread now has taken delivery off their Audi A4s. For anyone who comes across this. Ordered my Audi A4 40TFSI Avant with Tech Park on the 1st September. Confirmed build week was week 4 2024 (w/c 22nd Jan). Got updated yesterday saying my car has arrived at dealership, booked delivery for 11th March and to take my current Cupra Formentor VZ1 245 TSI away on the same day. Got an update later on saying that the car has been bumped whilst coming of the transporter. So it's going in for repair. Delivery date has been postponed now 😞

Not an SQ5, ordered my A4 Avant on 1st September. Was updated last week saying my car was confirmed to go into build this week.

Finally...the end to the saga. Car arrives at the dealership tomorrow and picking it up 3rd Jan. The good news it only took 4 months from ordering to deliver and not six months forecast.  I still can't believe that an organisation the size of vw/audi can't/won't provide their customers with more information on the status of their cars or even have a basic user access where you key in an order number and it returns a status code.....at least you'd know what  was happening. Anyway, good luck to those still waiting, fingers crossed but I'm out of here now 🙂

 

Brilliant news John! Hope pick up today went well and you're enjoying your car 🙂 I think mines going to be at least 6 months at this rate... still no build date 😞

Good info, thank you....but did it get built then (week of 4th Dec) or was it put back...where is it now? I think if you are spending the amount of money we are, you'd expect a little courtesy now and again......sorry...just having a right old moan lol 

Hi John, have you had any more update about your car going into/finished being built? Still no update about a build slot for me still 😞

Brillant news John! Did you spec any extras apart from paint? Maybe I will hear something soon, but thinking because I've specced it with the Tech Pack it will add extra delay. But will let you know when I hear anything 🙂

9 weeks for me, no build date either 😞

There was one guy on this thread just recently ordered a standard avant in grey and received it in six weeks, he was obvously lucky and may have received a cancelled order. i've been following the audi availability site and they have had about 8 40tfsi in blue over the last 7 weeks and currently displaying 2 in blue and one in green as being available in the next few weeks at various dealers. I have to wait, I accept that and there is nothing I can do, however what I just cannot get my head around is how a company the size of audi after seven weeks cant tell me when....even roughly my car will be built/delivered. My local dealer says 27 weeks but admit they don't really know....crazy

 

Not long ordered after you John as you know, got an update saying there is no update and still waiting for a date.... District Green 40TFSI S Line with Tech Pack. Found out that my supplying dealer is Swansway in Crewe, the same dealer network who supplied my current Cupra Formentor. Would have thought things might have gotten better since 2 years ago but doesn't sound like it! I just hope it isn't another 10 month wait again... good job I love my current car!

No worries John, I ordered mine through the same lease broker I ordered my current Cupra Formentor with that's due to go back mid March. They quoted around Feb/March time

There's a website/app called MarineTraffic that shows all AIS marine traffic. If you know which ships are used for shipping cars from Emden you can track progress

I also ordered my A4 40 TFSI S Line Avant in District Green with Tech Pack last week. Was also told around Feb/March but I wouldn't be surprised if it did slip further. My current car is a Cupra Formentor ordered in May 21 for expected delivery in October 21. Didn't end up arriving till March 22 😞
