  1. Good point. Neighbour had a similar issue with his Maserati, they were great with him, took the car away and left him with a new S class Mercedes. Came back some weeks later. I asked him what the issue was and he hadn't a clue.
  2. You would hope that this is not a deliberate act by the dealer to save costs. When we bought our car, new in July 2024, I checked the fluids. The oil needed a litre to take it up to the maximum level on the stick, the car was level and engine off for some hours before, the oil filler cap was on so tightly that I don't think it had been touched, the screenwash bottle was also empty. I may be being picky but I suspect that there are more than a few people who don't check such things on a new car.
  3. After prolonged interrogation Mrs Vac admitted to driving through what sounds like a water splash in a dip in the road not far from home. The dripping has not reappeared. After some years with a leaking Golf and a lacklustre local VW dealer who knew more about charging than they did about repairs, this is a sensitive area for us.
  4. Thank you. I am going to keep an eye on it and discuss it with Audi at the first service. With the drips being equal and on both sides I am guessing that it is rainwater rather than something internal. I appreciate you taking the time for considered thought
  5. Thanks for your reply. The roads have been dry, today and yesterday. As it turned out, only a limited amount of water came out of the sills, less than 25ml, the Golf would hold close to a litre and be draining for an hour or two and you could hear it sloshing around. If it is not a known problem then I am happy to ignore it.
  6. The A1 replaced a Golf convertible which had wet carpets and boot floor, also dripped from the sills. Noticed today that the A1 when parked on a slight slope was also dripping from the sills on both sides, the carpets and boot floor appear dry and I am now going out to check the battery tray. the car does not have a sun roof. the car is garaged every night. Is this something and nothing or should I be on the look out for something else? Thank you
