  1. Hi Steve , up until now the garage have been pretty good and even provided courtesy cars so it’s probably my frustration coming through . As you articulate it’s serious money to replace with no guarantee so it’s dilemma time .

    No point in flushing again , ask for a quote on replacement I imagine and raid the piggy bank becuse after 18 months I still don’t want to sell .

  2. Hi Steve , so I’ve had the car into the garage and after a flush EGR cleaner overnight and a 50 mile drive by the garage to make sure the car was ok I had it returned minus the cost ( 1100) . It’s taken a week for the EML to return and my anger at the garage

    They want 4K for an inlet and new EGR . Do I try another flush if it’s the same code or go away and try another garage …?

  3. Hi Steve , just spoken to a couple of garages today and they want from 2k - 4K to change the cooler and associated items including inlet manifold . The other option offered is a clean in situ with carbon cleaner which will be substantially less . I’ll have a think .

    I completely agree becuse having looked around 100k seems to be the threshold for Audi diesels which is a pity as the car has been fantastic .

  4. Thanks for the response Steve . The car has 117000 miles and other than the DPF 6 months ago has been a good daily drive up the motorway . I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to the 30% it appeared on the handheld screen of the diagnostic when a friend plugged it in . I have no experience in this area so would need to take it to a garage to resolve but don’t fancy the £1600.

  5. Morning everyone. Looking for some guidance on my 2014 avant ultra . The activation of the EML and DPF particulate filter light in the last 3 months meant the car was booked in for its first regen in my ownership . ( 2 years ) . The EML has returned with a P2000200 code but the DPF is at 30% . I’m told it’s now EGR cooler . Any advice . ?
