Just had the car in for major service with audi Liverpool and whilst they had it they brought to my attention the car is due to have its cambelt & water pump replaced now the dealership has quoted £650 all in parts and labour and also free lifetime M.O.T’s.
Was just curious if anyone knew any independent VAG specialists in the north west area where i may be able to keep the cost down a bit rather than dealership prices
nice one guys 👍🏼

The firts button is to disable the stop start system, the last one is to activate or deactivate your parking sensors which will automatically come on when you put into reverse and the middle one id assume is a self parking function.
Hope this helps 👍🏼

Right guys only just got round to getting my dash cam bit later than i wanted but im going to be hardwiring it in today and was wondering if anyone knows the best place to connect the earth connection.
much appreciated

Once you connect your phone via the cars Bluetooth and then when you want to play music press the media button on the mmi controls until it says Bluetooth then either press play on your phone for a specific album/playlist or the car just starts playing random songs from your phone, i always use the Bluetooth streaming for music and never had an issue with connectivity or quality
hope this helps 😀

Hello Dom,
Strange, but must be true, but the Audi dealer has actually drilled holes in your new plates?
Plate suppliers usually (never known any different) simply supply the plates and you have to drill the holes yourself - or fix them with the correct double sidded sticky pads which is more the norm.
If you asked them to drill holes for you then I agree with Paul. If you didn't ask them to drill holes - again as Paul suggests.
Kind regards,
Gareth.
He actually just brought them out to me without the holes drilled but i asked him could he drill the holes in for me and he Took them away them come back with th drilled, il be paying a visit tomorrow so hopefully they can sort it 🤞🏼

Went to my local Audi dealership to get some new front and rear plates as the old ones are looking scruffy and just got round to changing them over and when I took the front one off and put the new one on, the drill holes are in the wrong position now can I screw into the plastic we’re the plates mount or should I just take them back and get them to replace them with the same drill holes as the old ones ?

Thanks for the replies guys, probably fit it myself but was just abit concerned about the fusebox 👍🏼

Im looking into buying either the nextbase 512 or dual dash cam in the coming weeks, iv seen you can get a kit so that the dash cam can be hardwired into the fusebox so it will power on and off with the engine, what im looking for is, has anyone done this and iv heard theres no spare fuses to use on the driver side fuse box and if this is the case how can it be hardwired to save having wires all over the car on show.
-
Iv had similar issues with my car doing that but fortunately it has been quite awhile since it last done it,however id watch out as once or twice when it displayed this message the engine cutout but other than restarting the engine manually there has bever been any other problems

Done!
it was only a minor issue. I've just restored the settings from factory for Bluetooth , and now I can use it without problems with my iPhone/Samsung
Was this done on the phone or the car as iv got a 13 plate a6 and i seem to be having trouble like the phone doesn’t connect all the time

I have also experienced this the past few days I also just had all 4 brake pads changed, getting minor rubbing from the back 2 brake pads but the mechanic told me they take a while to wear in so will just have to wait a few days and see but please do let me know what the outcome is for you Dom.
Fingers crossed mine has sorted itself out like its been 2 weeks since it last came on so hopefully it has sorted itself out 🤞🏼

Cheers steve
the driveway is gravel and more or less level, battery hasn't been flat and also I haven't had it plugged into any diagnostics, i have recently had all 4 brake pads changed recently and once agin the problem has rectified itself.
will have to see how it goes and if it happens again il begrudgingly have to take it to audi 😩

Morning guys basically last week i parked up on my driveway put my parking brake on and when I applied it a flashing red (p) popped up on dashboard and the red light on the brake itself was flashing, i left it in gear and switched the engine off then came back out after 30 mins and started and stopped the car a few times and took it for a spin and when i returned it had sorted itself out, again last night it done the same and again sorted itself out but im just wondering if anyone might know what the problem is and possibly how much to rectify.
much appreciated

Since posting the topic the other day it seemed to sort itself out until tonight when it popped back up I managed to get a video this time.

Just pulled into the drive put the electric park brake onand then the light was flashing both on the break and a warning came on the dash followed by a flashing (P).
does anyone know what could have caused it and roughly prices for fixing ifit doesnt clear up itself
also its a 2013 2.0TDI manual
cheers

I dont know about the newer models but on my 2013 c7 you can store the current tyre pressure and then once it drops below that the tyre pressure monitor will notify you, all you do is press the car button on the mmi then i think system then it should show up there
