  1. Haven’t been on here for a while as I’ve been keeping my Q7 problems to myself and getting them fixed ASAP etc. Anyhow I’m now feeling quite sick of the problems and getting charged £40 a time from my garage for a diagnostics report (I’m their favourite customer, well I used to be). Anyhow I’ve gone and bought a VCDS and cable and given it a go myself and come up with 2 errors/malfunctions. I’ll post my pictures of the results and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction for parts/repairs and give me some sort of advice as to whether I can do it myself?? Here’s waiting for someone’s help, many thanks Karl.

  2. Not great as I haven't actually picked it up yet Trevor. I'll see if I can grab it and the clips toward the end of the week and keep you all updated. Also some absolute piece thought it would be a great idea to open their door on mine but not just bump it absolutely hammer it in to my rear door. So going to try to get it repaired as well. Grrrrrr I know it doesn't look to worrying but it's all I can see when I look down the side of the car , I'm so disgusted I haven't washed it since! 😂IMG_0831.thumb.PNG.838e4a3a134d04298ed2a7634f00ed57.PNG

  3. Hey all, I've noticed my cover is missing off of the rear bumper of my car so have ordered a new one. On closer inspection it looks as if one of the spring clips is missing that is pre attached to the bumper. And the other one that is there is severely rusty. I've had a good google and cannot find them or part number. Is anyone able to help? Thanks Karl.

  4. Yes it I s smooth I can't fault you there with seemless gear changing, I've only just got mine back from the main dealer, after driving an Insignia around for four weeks it's heaven and feels new again. Taking mine on its first big trip the weekend Portsmouth to Devon and I'm looking forward to the drive 👍

  5. Thought I'd post this in case anyone has the same problem and feels like taking on the task theirselves. I take it the numbers are the part numbers.

I think you would save a bit of money if you did it yourself also, a whopping £2432!!! 😬

Hopefully somebody finds this of use.

  6. Hi all, just an update on my car. I got it back from Audi Basingstoke today it turns out it was the EGR cooler leaking. This surprised me a bit as I have seen cars that are older than mine with the same problem, a problem that I thought would of been ironed out by Audi on a 2012/13 plate.

Oh well least I didn't have to fit the bill thanks to my warranty. Good luck with all your cars and hopefully I don't have to post another post like this again...... 👍

  7. Hello all, haven't really been on here since the purchase of my car.

2-3 weeks in to ownership the coolant low light came on in the car. After topping it up the level was going down again after a day or two of driving it. My passenger door was creaking, a headlight bulb blew costing £87 and the brakes were squealing a lot, all of this within a very short period of ownership 😭

Fortunately there was an optional 2 year warranty that I decided I wanted when we got the car. So I rang the garage up that I bought the car from and they came and picked the car up and left me with a Vauxhall insignia 👎.

Anyway the car is at the Audi main dealers in Basingstoke and is apparently leaking coolant in the "V" part of the engine? So it is being stripped down  for further investigation. Does anyone know anything about this or has anyone had the same problem? Would like to hear if you do or have.

    many thanks Karl. 👍

  8. Thanks Gareth, I have picked the car up today and it doesn't take adblue so there are no worries or concerns for this now. Still playing with all the gadgets and will be going out for a little night drive soon to send the baby to sleep. Looks pretty inside at night, as you can tell I'm very impressed with the car inside and out. Loving the seemless gear change it's so smooth and with the power delivery. Thanks for your help.

    Karl.

  9. Picking my Q7 up tomorrow, it's a 3.0 tdi on a 62 plate.

ive been looking online for the answer but can't find a definite one.

will it take adblue like my sisters Vw toureg? If so how long does it last? How big is the tank? Where do you buy yours? How and where on the car do you fill it up? And is it the exact same adblue as a lorry would take?

Any help appreciated as it's something that has just sprung to mind. Thanks Karl.

  10. Hi all, picking up my first Audi tomorrow, it's an Audi Q7 S line plus in orca black. Hoping for quite a few years of enjoyment out of this car. Hopefully pick up some tips and good information on this site. Here are a few pics .......

  12. Thanks for the welcome Trevor, I'll post a couple of pictures up now, I've noticed round the windows it has black trim rather than chrome, and also the grill. I was just wondering if it was an edition they did?

  13. Hi just bought an Audi Q7 S line plus, I'm picking her up on Saturday and can't wait. I was just researching the different models. I've just seen that there is a black edition of the Q7 and was wondering how to tell if it is a black edition and was sets it apart from the standard Q7?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks Karl.
