    Hello Robert,

Wondered if you could be a bit more specific with the maths.

Does 8 tyres in 34k miles equal 2 sets of tyres of which each set has lasted approx. 17k?

    Kind regards,

    Gareth.

Hi Gareth, Yes 2 sets of 4 to get the 8 tyres.

Just seems a lot less than previous tyres I've had driving no differently.

  2. What tyres are you using on your Q5 or SQ5?

I currently have Pirelli P Zeros 21 inch and have pretty much got through 8 tyres in 34k miles.

    Do you use the same?

If different why did you choose them and what differences have you noticed?

    Thanks

  3. Hi everyone,

My SQ5 has had a rattle in the panoramic roof for over a year now.  Its been back to the dealer 4 times now and had it lubricated etc etc.

I told the dealer many times in the past that it was a known problem with SQ5 and I believed the solution was to replace the frame which is a big expensive job which they didn't want to do.

It is now out of warranty and guess hat the solution is.  Replace the frame £2700 + cost.

They have offered to pay 75% but this leaves me with a bill of over £600 for an issue that would have been resolved in warranty if they had done as I suggested.

I've initially gone back and said that's not good enough ask the manager for a rethink and they also say if they contribute I must give them a 5 star rating which sounds a bit like blackmail to me.

Does anyone know what my rights are or had the same issue and successfully resolved?

    Thanks in advance

  5. My oil light came on today for a top up in my Diesel SQ5. Looking at all the oil sites like Castrol they recommend 5W-30 oil but I called an audi garage and they said no don't use that it has to be 0W-30.

This makes me a bit nervous as to what is correct. I've tried calling 2 other audi garages but nobody seems to answer the phone so wondered what others use so I can get some tonight / tomorrow morning.

    Thanks

  6. Looking to get my car detailed per the below.  How much do you think it should cos and how much did you pay if you don't mind sharing for your detail.  Did it make a huge difference?

    - Gtechniq CSL & EXOv3 - This is the best combination for protection, the tough and durable coating from Crystal Serum Light help prevent marring, swirling and chemical damage. The top coat of EXO will provide the wax like gloss and ease of maintenance.

    Wheel Protection

    - Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour (12 Month Protection): This is the best protection available for wheel protection, the coating crystalizes to the wheel helping prevent the build up of dirt and brake dust.

    Glass Protection
    - Gtechniq G1 Smart Vision (12 Month Protection): The coating leaves a hydrophobic layer on the glass keeping the glass cleaner for longer, also helping prevent ice build up in cold weather:

    Interior Protection
    - Gtechniq Total Surface protection - Gtechniq L1 Leather guard on all leathers, C6 on all matt plastics and I1 on all fabrics. These products offer protection from staining, discoloring and offers UV protection.

    Thanks everyone

  7. Thinking about having a dashcams front and rear.

    Firstly are they worth having?

Are they easy to use and install?

    Are hardwired better?

Any suggestions and opinions would be great, especially if you know anyone who deals with fitting them around Derby or Nottingham.

    Thanks

  8. Just wondered which brands of Ad blue you use and how you have found refilling.  I've read you need a special bottle to go this.  Is that true or can you just pour in via the funnels for the Ad blue containers?

    Thanks

  9. Hi. I recently bought an SQ5 with  pano roof. It certainly let's a lot more light into the cabin and if you have rear passengers they can have a fantastic view.

There are many different stages up2 the roof being open from just being tilted or fully open.

Great on a lively warm day.

Also for resale many people want them even if you don't particularly, it is worth thinking about that.

  10. Morning all.

The two cars in question were A6 BITDI and SQ5 not cheap cars!

I'd spoken on the phone to arrange and was completely clear and honest with my intentions and that my local garages did not have stock which is why I was wanting to try Sheffield.

There was no mention during the call that they would struggle to fit me in or that there were conditions around their insurance or managers having to accompany people in such cars rather than any member of the sales team.

In fact they said they didn't have much on.

The change in story says to me they were blatantly lieing to me or that they are completely incompetent in resourcing to their legal requirements.

Either way it is a rather damning outcome.

Why would I travel to them if I was just a timewaster?

I am normally a very relaxed person who does not complain about mediocre service but this was really very poor.

I will listen to any response they give me in a considered fashion but the odds on them having a good argument are higher than winning the lottery.

  11. Sheffield Audi is by far the worst dealership of any brand ive ever been to and there have been a few bad ones.

If only I could give a negative rating.

Arranged a test drive for two cars for last Saturday on Thursday and was told everything would be ready to go.

Drove up from Derby with my brother for the agreed time to be told the person I was seeing was busy.  Someone else would see to it. They eventually came back and said due to a change in their insurance the person accompanying me needed to be over 30 years of age and could we wait 15 to 30 mins.

So we went to look at cars outside to kill time and an hour later went back in to see what was going on, to then be told there was nobody to take me out it had to be a manager and there were no one available and would I wait for another unknown period of time.

Clearly I said no and so in the end waisted 6 man hours between the two of us on a bank holiday weekend. (2 hrs Travel and and 1 hr milling about for both of us)

Absolutely shocking customer service and we will see what Audi UK and the franchise owner have to say about it.

They really couldn't have cared less.

Avoid this place and take your hard earned cash elsewhere!

Personally, I think the A6 is much more car for your money, although..... Tough call !

Hi Trevor. Much more car for money in terms of flexibility of use or something else? Do you have experience of both?

  13. HI everyone. Currently Considering my next car and pretty much narrowed it down to an Audi A6 Avant BITDI or Porsche Macan.

Anyone got experience of both?  Anyone able to tell me why I should go Audi over Porsche other than Price?

    Thanks
