  2. Hi, I’ve recently noticed this loud knocking noise from the underside of my engine. Only really happens on cold start then gets much quieter. Have uploaded a video of the noise. Have read it could be cam belt/tensioner/ water pump issue. Any ideas anyone? IMG_0527.mov
  3. Evening everyone, newbie here. Just purchased a 2015 Audi S7 V8 450bhp petrol with 96000 miles, lovely car but has just thrown up the error on my ODB2 o2 sensor signal stuck lean; bank 1 sensor 2. Is this an easy fix to do at home, or a garage job? If it can be done at home where can i find it? Thank you.

  5. Hello Does anyone know the part numbers for the red front brake calipers on the S6? From doing some searching I found the numbers 4N0615107AG and 4N0615108AG, but on some sites they are referred to as being for other cars like the SQ7 and S7. Are they the same part? Thanks
  6. No out of place noise, just normal jerk as if you let go off the gas and got back on immediately.
  7. Aleksa. Is there a noise when the car jerks? A bang or knock for example.

  9. Hello, I have a 2012 8p quattro and i noticed a jerk when moving off in first at almost full lock. It happens at very low speed and low and equal gas input (i would say under 30% of gas pedal). I would explain it as if you suddenly let off the gas and get back on or like car loses power for a split second. It does not happen when wheel is straight or slightly turned or full lock but somewhere in the middle. English is not my first language so i hope i explained it well and i look forward to your replies. Thanks in advance.
  10. Hi All. Would really appreciate some support with an issue that has confused audi specialists. The MAF sensor keeps on blowing. When it does the car cuts out. Unplug the sensor, the car runs ok, but over fuels. Putting a multimeter on the ground pin in the wiring plug, the next to the middle pin I get 4.99 volts which I think is correct. If I them check the next pin I get 7.3 volts with ignition on and 9.5 volts with the engine running. I thought this was supposed to be considerably less? If that's the case any ideas where to start? Anyone know where I can get a schematic for the actual ECU? I'd like to track back through the loom and find where the excessive voltage is coming from. All help will be very much appreciated. Stu
  11. TPMS fault warning coming on regularly and 2 visits to Audi dealership and they can’t find any fault. Tyre pressures etc have been checked multiple times and reset but no luck. Any thoughts as to the cause

  13. Please let us know the outcome. Note that this is a forum in which information is supposed to flow two ways, so we do expect some sort of acknowledgement or response from members to those who having taken the time to answer without us having to nag.
  14. Personally I find the Waze app looks a little like a cartoon and would prefer a google map look.
  15. Take it back to the dealer with your mechanic's report. The dealer will undoubtedly try to dismiss your problems with all sorts of excuses, but stand your ground and insist on either a refund or a full repair. It's your legal right.
  16. Martin. Is it only the washers that do not work, or are the wipers also not working? I know that some Audis have a switch on the bonnet that interlocks the wipers to prevent damage?
  17. We have gone back to the vendor and waiting for their response.
  18. Just had the car in the garage. Gears/clutch slipping confirmed, oddly no codes re transmission but several other codes, P010400 mass volume air flow intermittent P154B00 dpf sensor faulty P003100 P068B00 A few other o2 sensor etc. Mechanic said first thing he would do is change the oil, after that full inspection and probably clutch or gearbox replacement. How difficult is it to return a car for refund? I've had it ,8 days and it's a main dealer??
  19. With most issues I try to steer clear of dealerships (other than some parts obviously) and try to find independent specialists who know the cars like the back of their hands. They tend not to charge quite so much and are enthusiasts about their specialist mark. Do you have access to any in the Winchester area? If you have they maybe worth contacting instead of the dealers.
  20. It was an aftermarket pump. I took the car back when the same fault (no pump, no spray etc.) occurred within 1 month. The pump and pipes were all fine. They did nothing other than grease the bonnet catches. This fixed the problem for another few months but now the washers are again not working. The bonnet closure/contact has something to do with the issue but nothing on the www that confirms the fix (I.e. where the contacts are or if catch lubrication is the issue). I saw something reference the closure of the bonnet being key to the washers working but can now not find that reference again. I'd like to think dealerships would troubleshoot all potential root causes rather than just go with those that give them business.... but I have my doubts on that front.
