Defo need to book a slot for myself... just to have a go. not sure I would wanna spend 50k on a new one though. A lot of dough.
Looks don't look too intimidating, until you launch off the traffic lights ;)

james is right about MOT.. may cause issues.

was it still available richard?

Have you tried eBay at all? When you are there also read the feedback on any of the Audi maps sold... happy punters usually mean good maps. might be worth a try.

Hi mate and welcome to the club
Do you have any form of warranty on the car? or did you buy privately?
I would take it in and see if you can get an error code. If you bought privatly then you could take it to a small garage and get a code.. once you have that then you can research how to fix.
Let us know how you get on mate

i did a quick search and found this
Pull the inner side trim forward (after removing all clips, its also easier to remove the rear plastic section that runs across the back of the boot) look for the 10mm brass cloured screw near the light cluster, undo and lift out the siren. it's up to you if you just disconnect or replace, lets face it who takes any notice of alarms??? -
Definitely looks like a cat converter to me.
You may wish to find a used one from a scap yard as that will save you a few quid.

I agree with Boz, if it is DPF (diesel particulate filter) then you need to run it up the motorway. I usually run it in a higher gear slightly to get the revs up and this cleans the filter nicely.
However, as your car is a 2000 model, I am not sure it has a DPF

is the pics above when the car was riding low or is that how it is right now?

I am pretty sure you can get away with it for a little while longer as its very low mileage. Maybe start putting some money aside for the change.
However, if you want to be sure then I would get it changed. At least you will get that fuzzy feeling once it's been done.

Hi and welcome to Audi Owners club
I would wait a few thousand miles to let her loosen up a bit.
Also bear in mind that it will always be under what the manufacturer states unless you can run the car in the same testing enviroment

No worries.. let us know how you get on and what gains you manage to get

Hi mate
surely the fuel filter would have picked up the crap from the tank?
Also, not sure how much crap in the tank can kill the pump like that.
Sounds like the are trying to get out of it and also sell you more stuff while you are about it.

I would definatly take that to the dealer and get it fixed under warranty.
That should be covered
-
Pop some pics up.. lets have a look
