  1. Hi everyone. In need of some advice or help off of others with a similar car. I owned a a4 avant b6 model, best car i owned, after a few cars i wanted to buy another. So i brought a audi a4 avant 2.0tdi 2007 with 45k on the clock which was immaculate. Problem, when i brought the car it wasn't smoking, i took it for a stage 1 remap as it just transformed the car for me. After a month the car started smoking when driving, low gears putting foot down and when you give it a boot. Black smoke really smokey, not normal at all. So i had the remap removed taken back to the stock map. Took it down my local specialist, he said injection 3 wasn't performing right, so after 500.00 i drove it away and to my surprise still smoking. He said take it for a run with some injector cleaner in it. So i gave the car a good run to Bruges and did around 600 miles a full tank on motorways still smoking!!! Rang the guy and he said there was a injector recall years ago for these cars and we was talking about the cars dpf and wether that has anything to do with it (it may have been removed before i purchased the car?) Anyway I've booked it into Audi main dealer to see if they can fix it. While on the phone i asked if my car came with a dpf and she said my car didn't have one and also that the recall on the injectors also wasn't on my car (2.0tdi 140) So my question is does anyone know what could possibly cause the car to smoke like this? My mechanic seemed to not be interested in anything i had to say in the way of vacuum leaks ect. Also if anyone owns a 2.0tdi older than a 2007 do they experience black smoke at times, i know it has a cat but I've looked at other cars and no car is smoking like mine so its not normal. Any help would be great, my car is booked in on the 27th and if i could take a look at some obvious things myself i would, rather than having to shell out a lot more cash just after christmas! Cheers Jamie
