Evening, took my a4 b6 20v turbo 190 into a local reputable vag specialist for a chain tensioner replacement as it was leaking oil and rattling on start up, also turns out one of the guides had broken up. He's replaced the tensioner, gaskets and all timing gear/water pump as requested with parts I've supplied (mixture of genuine and non gen but OE quality items) he's started up but I still have a rattle from cold and now it's running like a pig. Any ideas? At the moment I'm thinking possible oil pressure/pump issues. Any help would be great!

Just taken ownership of an 04 A4 Avant S-line 190 (BEX engine I believe) on idle it makes a horrible screech/grinding noise, it only lasts 2 seconds and goes. If I rev it it goes away which leads me to believe its some tensioner of sort but it seems to be coming from the back or right hand side of the engine, I've had a quick look at the tensioner and it does move alot on idle but then tensions under load. Any known problems in that area? Thanks for your help.
