Glad you told me about that, I didn't know the 07 to 09 cars were affected, I thought it was only the newer models. I'll keep an eye out on this.

Hi All, New to the forum, first post so go easy on me lol In the process of trying to buy an A3, budget of around 5 -5.5k for a 140 or 170 bhp diesel, prefer 3 door but would entertain a 5 door sportback also. Really hard to find a decent one that isn't a million miles away. Quick question, for a 07-09 plate would you consider 100k high mileage on these diesels? Also is there a section I could read on here on what i should look out for and what i should avoid like the plague when going to see an A3? Thanks in advance, really appreciate any help provided.
