  1. My audi A4 exhaust sounds louder than usual

    I'm a bit late to the party here, but I have a 2013 A4 Avant 2.0TDi. Mine some times sounds much more "throaty" and after some research it became apparent that this can be because of a DPF regen cycle. I'm not sure what age your car is, but if it has a DPF and runs an active regen, then perhaps that is the cause? Unless it's doing it all the time of course. Mine does this for 15-20 minutes. I quite like the sounds of it, and have been trying to figure out a way of making it do it all the time :) Chris.
