  1. Hey all, did anyone over the weekend 22/07/18 attend wax stock at the Ricoh centre in Coventry. It was my first visit so would be great to hear peoples thoughts and opinions. I enjoyed and snapped a few photos on my phone. They aren't great, as it was quite busy. By the way the Ferrari is my other car 😜. I wish.
  2. Hi Gareth Apologies for the bad punctuation and grammar as Im typing away on my phone. Reading from the log book it describes the car as an A4 SE S LINE QUATTRO. That you would believe would be the end of it. I contacted Audi spec check again and they have stated the car is as described using reg and vin number but also then added ( Special Edition). This is what is listed on their system. So being still rather confused I continued my search. A few people on the Audi sport forum believe the SE part refers to Standard Equipment. The other half drives a little Skoda citigo sport and it has all the bells and whistles. Yet while shopping for one the SE citigo was the second from bottom in terms of specification. This appears to be the same with the Seat mii which is an identical car. Its a minefield of different terminology set to confuse I guess. So looking again I found this little paragraph on wikipedia. In 2007 Audi introduced a version of the B7 named the 'Special Edition', which built on the S-Line specification and also included the black optics pack, the RS4 style 8J X 18 '7-arm double spoke' design alloy wheels, Two-tone Graphite/Black Volterra leather, 3-spoke sports leather/Alcantara multi-function steering wheel with gear knob and hand brake handle in Alcantara with silver stitching, ventilated cross-drilled front disc-brakes, black tailpipes and black roof rails (avant model only). It also had a power increase of 20PS, giving an output of 220PS on the 2.0T model. All of this apart from the Avant model roof rails I have, so ties in with what Audi are stating. Again I appreciate all your information and help
  3. Thanks for the reply. I have done a little digging an apparently my car is an advancement on the standard s line with drilled discs, two tone leather, rs4 style 2 spoke alloys. So apparently that's why it comes up on searches as special edition. I can live with that. Shame its not one of the limited edition touring car variants. I read they will slightly appreciate in value. Still car drives superb and 220 hp is plenty for me. Cheers Gareth
  4. Good morning all. I've recently purchased and A4 2007 s line 2.0t. Lovely car and in great condition. My question is this. When I insure the car it is coming up as special edition 217 hp quattro. The 217hp model was released in relation to the German touring car championship I believe (DTM) between 2004 and 2007. Having slighty more horsepower than the standard and drilled front discs. The car doesn't have the multi spoke alloys I think that we're limited to that car but I do have the drilled front discs and my car comes up a special edition as said. I've contacted audi spec check and they can't confirm that I have the DTM model. Any help would be appreciated. Also the audi garage where first registered don't know what the DTM is either. Agh. Thanks again
