  1. Thank you Steve. I will look this up Cheers jim
  2. Definitely the brake pad .slight pressure on the bake over a bump and there is no noise. .car went through MOT yesterday no issues. Will try your suggestion at the weekend. Thank you mate
  3. its the only thing I can find that is lose , we have a Mot shaker deck at work and the car has been on it three times ,the last time a good 15 mins with the mechanic checked all the suspension parts etc and they are all solid ,all the under skits and trims are solid ,the sound I can hear is a metallic clinking when going over bumps in the road ,I have also heard a noise from the wheel area while driving that stops once I braked , dont get any noise under breaking and the car stays true under very heavy braking the rattlerly pad is the only thing I can find lose ??
  4. The shim is in place .its an odd one .no slider pins in these callipers and both pistons working as they should thank you anyway Jim
  5. thank you mate The calliper does not seem to be sticking .brake off the wheel turns freely brake on it solid release it’s totally free. The C8 doesn’t have slider pins on the front calliper
  6. No mate I can physically move / wiggle the outside pad. press the brake it’s solid .release it I can wiggle it again ??
  7. Hi All just looking to see if anybody else has had this issue. Been getting a rattling noise over bumps pot holes etc .had my suspension checked all good can solid. This has been going on a while. Today I had the car back on the ramps and I noticed I was able to shake/ move the drivers side outer brake pad. These were changed last summer and the brakes with fine. No pulling about under heavy braking all working good .press the pedal and the pads go solid release and it’s lose enough to rattle. ? These are Brembo pads any thoughts please Jim
  8. It seems there is a whole camber in the roof and above the screen to ensure adequate draining ,
  9. finally solved his issue, but never found the actual drain holes in the plenum chamber ,as it turned out the sloshing noise was water collecting in the sunroof chamber the whole area above the windscreen was filling with water and draining very slowly cleaned the drain channel with some thin welding wire ,no more sloshing
  10. Yes mate. no water in the car .its the Plenum chamber i can hear it. I cannot see the drains are . They are covered by the Servo and the aircon air intake .the must be blocked. But i cannot see them to unblock them .i am going to have a look from underneath at the weekend
  11. Hi There .looking for some photos of where the bulkhead drains are on the A6 C8 2019 ,over the last week I have had a water sloshing noise when I turned at the end of my street , I removed the two access panels from the scuttle cover and cleaned out quite a lot of leaves and soil ,I could see the bulkhead bottom was wet ,but not accumulation of water ,thought I had fixed the issue , next day it rained quite heavy during the night and I had the same noise again , I will add it only last a couple of miles then it seems to clear itself . I have looked in the access holes in and around with an oscilloscope but I cannot locate the rubber drain holes on the bottom of the bulkhead ,there are two holes at each end of the chamber that look like the have fabric/sound proofing at the back of them but they are on the bulkhead towards the engine and about 10mm up from the bottom of the bulkhead any help please in locating these drain holes Thank you JIm
