  2. hi Piotr, thank you for your reply. I understand why the socket cuts off with the ignition, but I only want it to charge my iPhone without ignition. The lighter socket in the ash tray cannot conceal the USB plug, and I would rather have it all concealed.
  3. Hi, Barry Forster here - a Newbie. My first Audi A4 Avant 2011 TDi. and I need a bit of advice please Guys. I have fitted my iPhone SE in a cradle with a charging connection for a lightning connector and a 3.5mm stereo jack. The 3.5mm stereo jack is connected to the Aux socket in the centre console and the Lightning connector is connected to the socket in the same console via a USB. This socket is live only when the ignition is on and my question is: How can I make the socket permanently live, so my phone charges without the need for the ignition to be on? Is it possible to identify the appropriate fuse and somehow convert it to be permanently live? Thanks Guys,
