    If it's for the Cabriolet, what do the 2 strings attach to? Surely they are the lifting strings that hook onto the hatchback?

    Maybe they just put the same item into both vehicles and call it a wind deflector in the Cabriolet and a sun shade in the Sportback.

    That looks identical to the parcel shelf in my 2008 A3 Sportback S-Line. It's a sun shade. Andy.
