  1. Hi folks, I'm in a bit of a dilemma at the moment regarding the ZF 6hp19 automatic transmission in my B7 A4. I believe I have a couple of issues with it, however minor they may be just now. I've had the vehicle into two separate 'specialists', one being ZF associated, yet they both maintain that the gearbox is operating fine. By no means am I a transmission guru myself but I'm a mechanic to trade so I understand when something isn't quite right. From doing a lot of reading on the 6hp19 boxes, I'm very aware that catching faults early can save the hardware of the gearbox. I requested that the oil/filter was changed by the first specialist to rule that out. The service caused the symptom to subside but hasn't cured them. The reason I'm posting is that I was given the old chestnut of 'let it develop then come back' but I want this resolved before any major damage is caused. Is there anyone on here that has had the experience of dealing with transmission issues and recommend a specialist that is willing to spend the time diagnosing this instead of waiting until there is a very obvious issue? Thanks in advance. Murray
