  1. Update; i have functionally tested the camera connecting it directly to a 12v source so nothing wrong with the camera. found out you need to use a relay to connect the camera up so I have connect the camera as follow; relay 30 direct 12v power relay 86 reverse light relay 87 camera power wire relay 85 grounding but no luck still nothing comes on when connected tested the connections the camera power isn’t receiving anything from the relay... many advice would be appreciated.
  2. Afternoon guys, I’m in the process of trying to install a reverse camera for my Audi A3 8p (170) i had already installed a pioneer sph da120 unit to the car and finally decided I might as well attach a reverse cam to it so just bought an Auto Vox cam1 from Amazon, so far I’ve attached camera to the number plate and the wires through to the boot and attached the wire to the reverse light cable using a lock connector I’ve checked the the cable with the 12v pen detector and power is running through to the other end which I believe has to be connected to the reverse signal input cable on the head unit and the video cable into the brown female input on the back of the head unit which now switches to the camera mode when in reverse but the camera doesn’t seem to be powering up or providing a signal?? Any advice on what I should do or check next? Or is their settings I may not know about on the pioneer head unit? Cheers in advance luke
