So, I've looked through the forum as best I can but couldn't find anything (queue someone pasting a link on this exact topic). I have just bought a 62 plate facelift Q5 S Line plus, 3.0 TDi The headlights have what I would call a light crazing across them on both sides, I don't think its something you can repair as it appears to go into the plastic and the old toothpaste trick from past cars did reduce the visibility but the crazing remains (pics attached). If repair is out of the window then replacement is the future, however its driving me around the bend. Clearly Audi will sell me a new set for £1,200 however there must be a better way... I am trying to compare part numbers on listing for Ebay or even aftermarket websites but they don't match up, the numbers i have are. Passenger side Audi 8R0 941 005 A Valeo 90021776 Drivers side Audi 8R0 941 006 A Valeo 90021777 I found a few websites selling Valeo parts that are apparently for my car (using car finder on the site) but the part numbers don't match https://www.autodoc.co.uk/valeo/8635407 They look right... but I assume the difference in numbers means something. I have also found a few second hand ones on ebay (I can live with a small dink etc...) but they all have the same numbers but the D not A at the end of the Audi part number. Can anyone shed any light on this? Clearly i will take a repair method if its going, but just working out which parts to buy would be great. Oh and if by any slim chance there was a way to make the headlights go full LED like the wife's 19 plate TT then I wouldn't say no 😉 Thanks
