Good evening to you all! I hope someone more knowledgable than I am can assist me with this issue.
I recently purchased an Audi A4 Convertible Sport (2004) (B6)
Prior to my purchase, it belonged to a friend of mine who had it sitting for around 2 years.
The key was damaged and the car I'm safe mode. After having it towed to a garage, i had a new battery installed. After a few hours, I managed to get the car started. It had very little fuel but I managed to drive it about 1/2 a mile to a mechanic friend of mine.
Since then, I have obtained a new, programmed key, the car is no longer in safe mode but it will not start. I have applied the 'quick start spray' and it has not proved successful.
A couple of codes came up when the key was reprogrammed (I have attached a picture.) Also it mentioned the Angle Sensor....
The mechanic when he tried to start it and it failed to do so, purchased some petrol and put it in the tank as he presumed it was low on fuel.
Since the addition of fuel, during the attempts to start the car, The car ticks over and appears to want to start (feels like it's just about to) but then it just goes back to ticking over again.
The petrol was drained and appears to be clear so I am completely baffled as to why it will not start.
