Hi all i'm a newbie here, i have a 2 litre fsi turbo lump, and a few months ago i heard a horrible squeal and then the engine died. The squeal sounded like fan belt but deeper and nastier! I suspected my water pump seized which subsequently has caused my timing belt to strip teeth. Now im a bit stuck of how to go about repairing it. since it's a high mileage car and i'm capable of doing certain work on my own i like to give it a top end rebuild. does anybody have any advice please on either where to get a reasonably priced rebuild kit, or if anybody's got any advice on what they think i should do bearing in mind i don't want to throw thousands of pounds at it! Lol. Honey advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!
