Hi guys, Did anybody manage to update this version of MMI without the expensive visit to the dealer?

Hi everyone. Does anybody know if the wing mirror glass from A8 Mk3 fit onto the A8 Mk3 facelift? The heating element went and I’m not prepared to pay the £362+labour for a new mirror glass so I found some on eBay but they are off the non facelift model and I’m not sure they would fit. Any help will be appreciated.
