  1. Rocker Cover Gasket replacement

    I have the EA888 1.8TFsi Gen2 engine (CDHA....) at 92K on a 10yr old A4 (b8) Avant. Basically we're getting an oil warning light before the service interval comes round. Local indy Audi garage has diagnosed rocker cover gasket is leaking, but also advise "...note rocker cover houses cam shafts & so gasket replacement also requires cam chains & tensioners". I have spoken to them, and they seem genuine that this extra cam work needs to be done, but I find hard to believe that replacing the rocket cover gasket also requires cam chain and tensioners to be replaced. Any thoughts ? Chris.
